As you listen, the crackling of flames takes center stage, intertwining with the rhythmic mastery of "Jason O'Keefe." With the Udu and Frame drums, O'Keefe orchestrates a captivating cadence that drives the energy forward, inviting dancers to surrender to the pulse of Fire itself.

Adding an ethereal dimension, "Eric Zang" weaves the mesmerizing melodies of the Kaval Flute, evoking the timeless tunes of the Middle East. These sonic tales infuse the composition with a cultural tapestry, painting a vivid sonic landscape that resonates deep within.

"Prayers To The Flame" guides the listener through symbolic stages, from the construction of the fire to the unrestrained culmination of the blaze. Here, "Chris Berry" enters the stage with a percussive revelation – his beatboxing becomes the vocal expression of rhythm, intertwining seamlessly with the music's heartbeat.

Throughout the track, a narrative thread weaves a tapestry of storytelling that transports us to ancient gatherings around a fire, where humanity's primal connections are rekindled. The music conjures an imagery of shared stories, shared experiences, and shared roots. It's a celebration of Fire's raw power, a bridge between cultures, and an exploration of the timeless connection that humans have shared around the warmth of a flickering fire.

“Prayers to the Flame” is the 6th track from the coming album called “Home” a collaborative project between Shaman’s Dream and Geometrae, featuring multi-instrumentalists, vocalists, and cutting edge electronic production.

The story is told through the intention of each song, and woven together for the listener to observe each element through the body as a felt experience.

The album begins with the sunrise, as each day begins for us here. The seed is then planted with intentions to grow and flourish, to reach the highest potential as a blooming flower. The 5 elements are explored: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether. The 5 elements are needs to transform the seed into a flower, for the fullest expression to be witnessed. Once the flower has bloomed, we welcome the moon, to tap into our psychic senses and merge into the dream world once again, to begin the cycle renewed, to return Home.

Today marks the release of 'Decoding Dreams,' the second single from the collaborative EP featuring Iyakuh and Lo.Renzo. This track draws inspiration from the enigmatic symbolism and messages entwined within our dreamscapes, seamlessly weaving together the deep jungle soundscapes with the melodious essence of desert landscapes and eastern temples. A deep bassline & textured percussion intertwines with live recordings from the studio, including the Baglama saz, Quena Flute, and tablas, resulting in a captivating fusion of sounds.

The Great Mystery is the latest full length album by the Desert Dwellers, and it is truly a jet setting piece of work. The 12-track collection was predominately recorded on the road, in airports, airplanes, and hotel rooms and finished in multiple studios in multiple countries. Even the live recordings were done with various musicians and singers from around the world in rooms ranging from Berlin to Santa Cruz over the past 2 years. This release is a special one, because it’s the first fully realized album of all original music that Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe have produced together, even though it is the 8th full album in the Desert Dwellers catalog, along with countless singles, eps, and remixes. 

The title of the album is derived from a Terrance McKenna quote, “Life is like a moment, we’re born out of a mystery, and we die into a mystery.” The duo notes, “Life and Death are great mysteries and we felt that was a pretty amazing theme to go with.” The album also features a talented cast of collaborators including Rick Hunter playing Oud, singer Megan Chandler, violinist HÄANA, Ixchel Prisma, Anuradha Genrich, and a host of others. The duo also worked with notable engineers including Torin Goodnight (Bird Of Prey), Benjamin Last (Temple Step Project), Yulu Fershtat (Perfect Stranger), and James Lumb (of Electric Skychurch Fame) who did analog summing that really transformed the sound quality of the album. 

The diverse recording locations are just as mixed as the albums vast range of musical inspirations. The pair’s musical palate spans from classical world music to psychedelic rock, all forms of hypnotic deep electronic music, reggae and dub, to pop and everything in between. The duo enthusiastically state, “Its always been a dream to create an album that embodied many of the styles we resonate most with, and The Great Mystery is that album!” They add, “When it comes to electronic music we have always refused to be ‘genrefied’ and this album goes on the complete journey from our classic tribal downtempo grooves to tribal techno, psychedelic trance, dubstep and ambient, all under one unified sound.”

Totem is the solo project of Boulder based producer, Phoenix Clay Michael. Phoenix has been playing eastern-style instrumentation for over a decade(tabla, doumbek, darbuki, didgeridoo, ric, native flute etc). With Totem, Phoenix explores the digital domain with rich melodies, psychedelic synths, and exotic instrumentation. Totem culminates these two passions into a modern interpretation of ancient instruments. The sampling style is deep and visceral. Blending sequences of thick bass and instrumentation with live production. Live production includes: Didgeridoo, vocals, synth, keyboard, percussion, and bass. Phoenix's debut album with Totem is titled, The Bonfire of Life, and was written as a motion of solidarity with the native tribes of North America. Totem sees the immense potency that dance has for healing in our culture, and also sees the reverent nature of ancient and native style music.
