Featuring his signature blend of West Coast meets intergalactic basslines laced with drippy synths and weaving arpeggios, Perkulat0r deftly traverses the landscape of underground bass music on this three-track release. From the purple, downtempo opener, “Borderlines” to the future hip hop sounds of “Level Up”, Perkulat0r aims to take listeners into his deep musical abyss. LostinSound.org is excited to premiere the @DevinKroesmusic X @ResonantLanguage collaboration "Misty Peaks" from the forthcoming @chillagerecords compilation album Crunksauce Vol. 5  which features 20 different producers' creations covering a diverse range of genres, including artists such as Wu Wei, The Digital Connection, Spoken Bird, Secret Recipe and more. 

"Misty Peaks" is reminiscent of an early Emancipator production, but with a full dose of trip-and-drip-hop. Devin Kroes' reverberating acoustic guitar swirls in and around psy-breaks built by Colorado's Resonant Language.  The result is something beautifully cinematic and gripping that pours out slowly from the speaker. 

Chillage has been supporting the releases of west coast bass musicians for a number of years, and this fifth installment of their Crunksauce series was the first time they opened submissions to the public. Tunes from established producers and a handful of fresh faces fill the 19 track release. Chillage is releasing three tracks each week in various outlets before the March 29 official release date.

This track is comprised of audio samples I created while @Standing Rock Sioux Reservation and Unity Concert in The Black Hills. Red Eagle(Keith) is the singer whom is singing one of the sixteen original tribe songs, this one being a rain song.

Totem is the solo project of Boulder based producer, Phoenix Clay Michael. Phoenix has been playing eastern-style instrumentation for over a decade(tabla, doumbek, darbuki, didgeridoo, ric, native flute etc). With Totem, Phoenix explores the digital domain with rich melodies, psychedelic synths, and exotic instrumentation. Totem culminates these two passions into a modern interpretation of ancient instruments. The sampling style is deep and visceral. Blending sequences of thick bass and instrumentation with live production. Live production includes: Didgeridoo, vocals, synth, keyboard, percussion, and bass. Phoenix's debut album with Totem is titled, The Bonfire of Life, and was written as a motion of solidarity with the native tribes of North America. Totem sees the immense potency that dance has for healing in our culture, and also sees the reverent nature of ancient and native style music. The ultimate thrill is fusing these two things into a continuous musical experience shared amongst listener and maker. Totem is humbled to bring thy dance medication. Aho
