Today marks the release of 'Decoding Dreams,' the second single from the collaborative EP featuring Iyakuh and Lo.Renzo. This track draws inspiration from the enigmatic symbolism and messages entwined within our dreamscapes, seamlessly weaving together the deep jungle soundscapes with the melodious essence of desert landscapes and eastern temples. A deep bassline & textured percussion intertwines with live recordings from the studio, including the Baglama saz, Quena Flute, and tablas, resulting in a captivating fusion of sounds.

Desert Trax is thrilled to bring fans a star-studded remix pack for ”Saraswati's Twerkaba,” the smash lead track from Desert Dwellers' Clear Path compilation, which was originally released in 2016 by Sofa Beats. The exotically innovative original from Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe sees the Desert Dwellers blending their signature downtemple dub sounds with global club flavors. It was inspiration enough to draw in a wide range of remixers amped to take on the task.

French guitarist and glitch sensation CloZee joined forces with LuSiD for an earthy, percussive take. Southern California bass legend David Starfire leaned more into the clubby side of the yoga twerk track. Mindex and Landswitcher both went dark and dangerous on their respective remixes, pulling heavily from the subsonic sampling and fearlessly pushing the track into the cavernous abyss. Patiently building from mild murmur to full on twisted roar, Nanosphere stretches Saraswati into a psy opus. Israeli sensation TRIBONE stripped the cut down all the way to its primal, midtempo stomp, and there is no doubt his take will turn dance floors loose with its relentless pulse.

The “Saraswati's Twerkaba” remix pack features 8 tracks with 40+ minutes of music and is available July 17th on all major sites worldwide.

In early 2017, Amani Friend re-envisioned selections from his rich Liquid Bloom catalog to deliver new downtempo compositions into a contemporary electronic space. Subsequent to that Re.Generations release, Canadian producer AtYyA selected seven of the album's tracks to put his own spin on them. 

Crafting whole new worlds around Liquid Bloom collaborators Poranguí, Deya Dova, Ixchel Prisma, Numatik, Rara Avis, and more, Tyler Clark generously imbues his signature tribal tonic into these works, for a mysterious and pulsing fresh spin on these re-imaginings -- one that balances the lightness of Amani Friend's remixes with an intriguing, contrasting darkness. 

Never before have Black Swan and Desert Trax released an entire remix pack by one artist taking on another. This is truly a look behind the curtain at two innovative and truly groundbreaking artists.

DMTuna is a track from Synchromystica's upcoming album Triptych. Featuring the incomparable Robin Jackson on the clarinet, DMTuna is the modern psychedelic epic to an ancient journey. Totem is the solo project of Boulder based producer, Phoenix Clay Michael. Phoenix has been playing eastern-style instrumentation for over a decade(tabla, doumbek, darbuki, didgeridoo, ric, native flute etc). With Totem, Phoenix explores the digital domain with rich melodies, psychedelic synths, and exotic instrumentation. Totem culminates these two passions into a modern interpretation of ancient instruments. The sampling style is deep and visceral. Blending sequences of thick bass and instrumentation with live production. Live production includes: Didgeridoo, vocals, synth, keyboard, percussion, and bass. Phoenix's debut album with Totem is titled, The Bonfire of Life, and was written as a motion of solidarity with the native tribes of North America. Totem sees the immense potency that dance has for healing in our culture, and also sees the reverent nature of ancient and native style music.
