Maxi Meraki's entry into the Melodic House scene might seem sudden, but his rise since 2019 to become one of the most acclaimed artists of today is anything but accidental. His success rests on a solid foundation of releases, collaborations and remarkable performances.

Projects like ‘Dare Your Move’ marked essential moments in his artistic evolution, paving the way for an impressive catalog of globally celebrated hits. Releases such as ‘If You Need It’, ‘Everybody Get Up’ and ‘Nothing On Me’ - have garnered support from industry heavyweights worldwide. His remix of Rüfüs Du Sol’s ‘Music Is Better’ and Mahmut Orhan’s ‘Pangea’ further solidified his reputation as a creator of undeniable floormaterial.

Maxi’s desire to succeed and unwavering passion have positioned him as one of the most original and inspiring figures in the electronic music scene, as he continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

Teddy Pendergrass was an indisputable soul legend when he made his Elektra/Asylum debut in 1984. The former Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes lead vocalist and chart-topping solo superstar’s career had been stalled by a 1982 car accident, in which he suffered permanent paralysis from the waist down. After intensive physical therapy, he signed with Asylum and returned with the triumphant “LOVE LANGUAGE.” The album – which included the top 10 AC hit single, “Hold Me,” with vocals from a young Whitney Houston – was later featured prominently as the evocative soundtrack to Alan Rudolph’s 1984 film, Choose Me.

“JOY,” released in 1988, reached #2 on Billboard’s “Top R&B Albums” chart – his highest placing since “TEDDY” in 1979 – with two top 3 R&B hits in “2 A.M.” and the stirring title track. “Joy” proved a #1 smash, Teddy’s first solo chart-topper in a decade.

Pendergrass scored his third career R&B #1 with 1991’s “It Should Have Been You,” featured on his 11th studio album, “TRULY BLESSED.” Teddy’s third and final Elektra release, 1993’s “A LITTLE MORE MAGIC,” saw the singer collaborating with fellow stars like Barry White and labelmate Gerald Levert.

Teddy Pendergrass retired from the music business in 2006. Sadly, he passed away three years later following surgery for colon cancer.

Hailing from San Francisco, California, Brian is intimately familiar with how house music has swept over the United States for more than two decades. While the technophile makes his living integrating systems and solving technology problems, his home away from home resides distinctly set behind his MacBook and his Pioneer DJ DDJ-SR2 controller. Brian has instigated many a groove at various venues around the globe, from Vancouver to Palm Springs, Los Angeles to Atlanta, New York to Toronto. He makes regular appearances in San Francisco, of course -- doing what he can to maintain a busy life style set around friends, music, and constant exploration.

"It's a bit of a challenge, but one I thoroughly enjoy" says the young DJ. "San Francisco is uniquely positioned -- we are not only a destination for traveling artists and musicians: we are also artists and musicians ourselves. The real question is, how involved do you want to get?"

By college, Brian was sneaking out of his dorm to play underground parties with his friends. It wasn't the anthem style club tunes that marked the charts at the time -- no, hallmarks of the evening were hard-to-find white labels from local record shops. Brian and Aaron Robinson held practice sessions for hours some weekends, before welcoming in throngs of friends and family to dance the night away.

As Brian's skills took shape, it wasn't long before he found a friend in Orlando-originated DJ Mark Snyder. Now residing in the UK because of advances in career, Mark rounded out Brian's catalog with legendary tracks from Sasha and John Digweed. As Brian and Mark's friendship grew, they began to throw house parties together. House parties turned in to club parties -- and this continued until Brian made the move to San Francisco to explore even more music and friendship.

In 2011, Brian worked with other local DJs to create the Rocket Collective - a fellowship of DJs raising monies for better sound experiences at the Burning Man art festival in Black Rock City, Nevada. He relates the tale fondly: "we had Trevor Sigler and David Sternesky -- two amazing, young, talented guys who would constantly create new and different mixes for us to use live! And of course, we would have all original acts booked with help from Mat Dos Santos." The troupe toured for nearly a year before retiring the project, and setting about their own creative paths.

2015 has proven to be a peak year for the young performer, with performances at Toronto Pride alongside Dave Aude, San Diego Pride for Bearracuda, Vancouver Pride for Ruff, and Atlanta Bear Pride as well. Brian was also selected from a host of world-renowned DJs to perform in the Underground Lounge for the legendary Real Bad party, a true honor given the history and support around the event. As for global recognition, Brian continues his regular collaboration and with Vincent Keith's Mascular Magazine to keep his distinct, recognizable sound available to communities the world over.

Max Richter trained in composition and piano at Edinburgh University, at the Royal Academy of Music, and with Luciano Berio in Florence.

On completing his studies, Max co-founded the iconoclastic classical ensemble Piano Circus, where he stayed for ten years, commissioning and performing works by Arvo Pärt, Brian Eno, Philip Glass, Julia Wolfe and Steve Reich.

In the late 90s he worked with a number of electronic artists, notably Future Sound of London on their album 'Dead Cities". He subsequently collaborated with FSOL over a period of two years, also contributing to the albums "The Isness" and "The Peppermint Tree and Seeds of Superconsciousness". Max also collaborated with Mercury Prize winner Roni Size, on "In the Mode".

In June 2002, Max released his debut solo album, "memoryhouse", recorded with The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. This was followed in March 2004 by FatCat's release of "The Blue Notebooks", with featured readings by Tilda Swinton.

In 2005 Max produced Vashti Bunyan's outstanding comeback album "Lookaftering".

2006 saw the release of "Songs From Before" based on Haruki Murakami texts read by Robert Wyatt. That same year, Max began performing "from The Art of Mirrors", an evolving score to previously unseen Super 8mm films of Derek Jarman.

Max's more recent work continues to stretch the notions of what Classical music is.  ‘24 Postcards In Full Colour’, released in August 2008, is an experimental work made up of 24 composed ringtones.

Max works widely in film music, installation and the theatre, most recently on INFRA, made with Wayne MacGregor and Julian Opie for The Royal Ballet, London. The Ballet was the subject of a BBC 'making of' documentary.

Max was named 2008 European Composer Of The Year for his score to Ari Folman's Waltz With Bashir, for which he was also nominated for the Prix France Musique.

Where do I begin? I have always been an artist by nature. However, I did not realize what my dream job was until the first time I heard Larry Levan play at the Garage. He created theater and took you on a journey that allowed you to escape for a few magical hours. I knew then what I wanted to do with my life...make music and play music. When I began to DJ it was because I wanted to connect to everyone. I wanted music to bring us together and allow us to share that light that exists in all of us. So I worked hard and built a career for myself that I could have never imagined. I’ve played in the best clubs all over the world. Worked with the biggest and most talented artists in the world.
