In a current scene seemingly divided between high energy and profound soulfulness, Charles Moon emerges as a maestro of both realms, curating highly-danceable odysseys with an unparalleled ear for sound. His innate talent has earned him a Grammy nomination as a producer and sound engineer. Hailing from Austin, TX, he currently spends his time in Mexico City and Tokyo, where he thrives as a multi-faceted artist and a curator. He’s the founder of ‘Thank You For Sweating’ (TYFS), a conceptual party series established in Austin that has fostered collaborations with renowned brands such as Carhartt WIP and Red Bull Music.

A frequent flyer of the LA underground, Soul Purpose seamlessly blends elements of disco, 90’s, house, minimal, techno, hard groove, breaks, and all sounds out of left field, creating a textural ride that transcends genre boundaries. With a keen ear for groove, and a deep respect for the originators and disruptors of queer dance culture, Soul Purpose crafts sets that are as eclectic and referential as they are cohesive. ABOUT PAT POSEY

Pat Posey is a dazzling figure of classical music…who oozes art from every pore” (Deutschlandfunk Radio). Hailed as “brilliantly stylish” by the New York Times and “edgy” by Gramophone, their debut solo album they/beast was called by BBC Music Magazine “a dazzling, unsettling spectacle by a musician pushing the creative envelope.”

They are principal saxophonist of the San Bernardino Symphony and have appeared frequently with many other orchestras including the San Francisco Symphony, LA and LA Phil as well as appearing live on dancefloors at nightlife venues in and around Los Angeles.

Recent releases include their debut as soloist in a the world premiere of a baritone saxophone concerto by Michael Tilson Thomas with the San Francisco Symphony, their debut as ESP Institute Artist with the track AMOK released in advance of a second solo album of original music on that label, an appearance on Miley Cyrus’ Something Beautiful, and as featured saxophonist on the Lovefingers Root of All Evil Dub edit of Primal Scream’s Innocent Money. From London to LA, LAALLS has been deeply influenced by the underground music scenes of both cities. Her passion for dance culture, shaped by the people, clubs, and sounds she’s encountered, drives her creative journey. After moving to LA in 2019, she honed her DJing skills and began sharing music more widely. As part of the Ladies of Leisure collective and a solo DJ, LAALLS has played at many of LA’s most respected underground parties, including Lights Down Low, Fast At Work, Sensory Signal, Rhonda and Basement (LA) to name a few.

Joining Tottie this month for a b2b 2hr was DJ Richie Panic - a fixture/influence/problem in California nightlife for an unreasonably long time. From hysterical club nights to, late night warehouse meltdowns, he attracts the best and brightest of dance music maniacs to his parties (Lights Down Low Co-Founder) and DJ sets. He’s played in the best places on the worst sound systems, and  the worst places on epic systems. Despite his endless misanthropy, he's still called a “man of the people”. If it weren’t for music, he would probably live in a well-curated cave somewhere. Once, a guy came up to him at a party and said, “you’re that guy who plays house music, but every song is weird.” Good enough!

If your here for a “powerhouse,” TOTTIE is one such force who has swept into Los Angeles with the express purpose of making a mark within the space of dance music culture. With TOTTIE it seems instinctual; as a natural reflex, to live and breathe the sounds that she loves. And she has swiftly made a mean mark: with her own long-running Dublab show, and in 2020, alongside Maddy Maia, co-founding SOS Music (a !K7 imprint) explicitly commited to amplifying the emerging female, non-binary and gender minority talent from across the globe.
