Melbourne via Sydney ‘s,Val York, steps out with her first EP on Sydney’s renegade party collective and record label Touch Of Loft. With 3 original cuts and one remix.
the EP is packed with hypnotic and minimal groove.

Title track “Bodies” a collaboration with Sydney artist Jet Black. See Val’s sultry vocals, evoking her summer love affair with dancefloors across Australia & Europe.

On Rhubard Wires Val’s vocal chants guide you through a sonic cosmos on.The hardest hitting of the three tracks on the EP.
A jacking and disjointed number in the best possible way. Spacious pads swirl over steppie drums and bass stabs taking the listener on an introspective journey.

“We Can Be” An ode to friends and family from the dance music community takes no prisoners with jacking kicks and snares, deep electrified rising pads and wonky off kelter bass stabs. This track nods its head to the minimal sound of the past but with a harder-hitting edge. Putting it in the grey zone between genres that we love so much here on Touch Of Loft.

Tom Turban rounds out the EP with his take on the title track “Bodies”. Flipping it into a housed-up minimal roller. Cut up and proceed, vocals sit over shuffling high hats, deep chords, and punchy rolling basslines.
