Christmas All The Way 12-10-2024

Welcome to Thanks For The Smile.

Here we are, at the winter solstice, and just before Christmas.  The days are at their shortest, and this time of year has the dimmest light.  It's a time of rebirth, renewal, and regeneration, as we traverse the vertex of the solar cycle.  Getting here has been difficult, and no doubt more challenges lie ahead, but there is hope as soon we will see longer days, and a brighter future, as we make our way back toward summer. 

Making this mix has been a process.  It has challenged me in so many ways.  It has taught me to be a better DJ, and a better person.  I am incredibly grateful for all of the lessons. Many thanks for all of you for listening, for supporting me on this journey, and for being a friend when I've been in need. Welcome to Heart Recovery!

It's a Drum and Bass LOVE Experience!  Please take a ride on this high energy rollercoaster of love, joy, and deep emotions!  It's been a turbulent time for me these past couple of months, where I had wonderful experiences of love and dark times of depression.  I'm so grateful for it all, as I have learned a lot and grown so much.  

During this time I really fell in love with Drum & Bass music. I find this music to be so incredible at harnessing emotion in a way that is moving, uplifting, and fun to flow with.  It was hard to be creative these recent times of depression, but I am grateful for all the highs, lows, twists and turns of life that brought me here.  Through these experiences I was able to let go of something, perhaps many things, that were holding me back and preventing me from expressing myself.  This is my first Drum & Bass mix that I've released, and it's just the way I like it: perfectly imperfect.  I'm so excited to continue to learn and improve and share my journey with you.

Heart Recovery (A Drum&Bass LOVE Experience) 8-15-2025

Welcome to Forbidden Frequencies!

Deep in the Grand Canyon I discovered mysterious caves that have been closed off from the public.  In these caves there is evidence of an incredibly advanced civilization.  There are tombs, mummies, ancient artifacts of unknown origin, and strange technology, most of which was beyond my comprehension.   I was able to explore these caves, and even found a passageway that appeared to go deep into the earth - perhaps a gateway to another world.  Before I could venture too deep, multiple black helicopters arrived at the entrance, and men in black escorted me out of the cave and away from the canyon.   Before they got to me I was able to hide an ancient artifact in my t-shirt, a disc about the size of a CD.  When I eventually made it home, I was able to read the disc on my laptop using AI. It revealed a series of frequencies and light language, which I was able to transmute into this mix for easier listening.  

I implore you to listen to this mix, to receive the healing frequencies of this ancient civilization. Let it inspire your mind and body as we evolve into the future, break free from the matrix, and realize our true origins. The universe is counting on you!

Hey there!
I know you remember how epic that was - the Tahoe Live afters in the village.  That was all time as far as parties go for Palisades and that special valley of squaws, at least in my book.  This experience was a dream come true - a dream that had been marinating in the universal subconscious for two years.  And lo and behold!  Manifestation!  A flurry of drum n bass bangers and liquid that was transmitted through one of the most beautiful sound systems to grace the village.  We came, we saw, we want some more! A big thanks to Bradley with the sound, to Gordyceps, Daneger, and to Nick, Justin and the rest of the 22 staff!  And thank you to everyone who made Tahoe Live such an amazing experience, even without the snow!  Love abounds!
