Autumns Meets Post-Punkers Uptown.

A couple of years after the Dyslexia Tracks EP, and following a volley of killer releases on labels such as iDEAL, Death & Leisure and Opal Tapes, Autumns returns to Touch Sensitive with perhaps his most complete set to date.

Pitching down the BPM but maintaining the intensity of his recent recorded output and incendiary live shows, Dyslexia Sound System sees Christian Donaghey turn the edit on himself with a grip of eight dub-wave zingers.

Pulling from his love of On-U Sound, The Pop Group, and Public Image Limited, Dyslexia Sound System perfectly fuses dubbed-out dynamics with the tough and unrelenting electronics that has become Autumns' signature sound. Guitars squall, clarinets skronk, vocals echo, roto-toms repeat and - as always with Autumns - rhythm is king.

Dyslexia Sound System is the sickest handbrake turn in Autumns' relentless and wired journey to date.

Hot on the heels of this year’s ‘Dyslexia Sound System’ album, Touch Sensitive is thrilled to share a three-track companion piece from Autumns - 'DSS Dubplate'.

Autumns is the solo project of Derry’s Christian Donaghey. With a relentless release rate that mirrors the energy and intensity of his live shows, Donaghey has submitted a selection of skewed star turns for the likes of iDEAL, Death & Leisure, and Opal Tapes since his debut on Regis' Downwards label in 2014.

Much like it's companion LP, 'DSS Dubplate' is heavily inspired by the On-U Sound label, the productions of Adrian Sherwood, and that cultural and musical sweet spot when the rockers met the post-punk crowd. 

Donaghey’s whip-crack beats, heavily effected vocals, shredded no-wave guitar, and clarinet squalls are shaped and shifted further into the endless expanse by his dubwise techniques on the board. 

As always with Donaghey's productions - these rhythms grip tight and don't let loose until the needle is on the run-out groove.

Autumns - Annoying Fucker [Touch Sensitive]

The rain came down harder than ever before today, it left thick streaks down the windows that obscured the outside world. It seemed to mirror her mood; no matter how much she tried, she couldn't read him at all - his mouth said one thing but his eyes said something completely different. Unbeknownst to him she'd already been putting their relationship to the test, and as it stood he wasn't set to pass with flying colours. 

Cork-based singer and musician Elaine Howley has made a name for herself in Ireland's underground music scene as part of several groups, Crevice, Howlbux and The Altered Hours. As a solo artist her work is intimate and personal, weaving together dusty, textural motifs and lo-fi ditties that suck you into her sonic world. Her newest LP, The Distance Between Heart and Mouth, takes a diaristic form. Recorded on a four-track cassette machine during 2019 and 2020, the nine tracks are guided by Elaine's distant, wistful vocals which sit on a bed of sounds that touch on dub, alt-pop, soul, chanson and psychedelic folk, reminiscent of artists like Broadcast, Leslie Winer and Tirzah.

Drone Pop #1 is the second album by cosmic drone-pop septet Documenta. Recorded over four days at Start Together Studios Belfast by Ben McAuley and the band, it also features additional production from David Holmes on ‘Love As A Ghost’.

Influenced by the English guitar minimalism emanating from 1980s Rugby, the darkness and light of Detroit’s hit factory, and the German Kosmische set’s concrète groove - Documenta present a true psychedelia through repetition, melody and rhythm.

A patient year-long process of experimentation and mixing - during which the group added “washing machines, aircraft and the sound of Saturday night” - encouraged a fuller overall feel and a marked sonic progression.
“We experimented at home quite a bit before returning to the studio so we got to stretch our imagination. We’re constantly learning as a band and this seemed like the next musical step.”

Glacial Industries returns for 2019 with a club focused 12” from Cork born, Berlin based composer ELLLL.

ELLLL follows up outings on Art For Blind and First Second Label with “CONFECTIONARY”, a trio of technoid mutations. “PEPSI” + “SKITTLES” provide club ammo with their pulsing hard drums, whilst the eerie, off-kilter “JAWBREAKER” rounds off the release.
