The song was inspired by the 80s Yugoslavian pop tune called "Fa Fa Fašista" (by Plavi Orkestar), which mocked the country's obsession with WWII. While the lyrics are not a direct translation of the original, they still contain a few Bosnian and corrupted German words for emphasis.

Les Nana Benz, sont des femmes d’affaires visionnaires qui ont fait leur fortune et leur succès dès les années 60 en vendant la wax, le tissu imprimé africain. On les appelait comme ça parce que c’étaient les seules à conduire des Mercedes. En ce qui concerne les Nana Benz du Togo, ce sont trois musiciennes et chanteuses découvertes par Vaudou Game qui fort de son succès et comme beaucoup d’artistes issus des pays d’Afrique investit pour soutenir les jeunes artistes et la scène émergente chez lui.

Elles étaient à l’affiche des Trans Musicales en 2022 et, comme le dit mon éminent confrère Jacques Denis dans Libération, elles proposent une version tropicalisée de la post-modernité en s’inspirant de chansons vaudou traditionnelles. Elles nous rappellent que le vaudou ce n’est pas une science occulte comme dans les films hollywoodiens mais un appel à consulter et écouter la nature. Féministes, écologistes, Nana Benz du Togo a sorti son premier album, AGO, en 2023 et monte sur la scène Greenfloor de Cabaret Vert accompagné de deux musiciens et leurs percussions de récup à base de bassines, casserole, valise en carton, tubes de PVC et sandales de chaussures.
