Little Wise is songwriter Sophie Klein, who has been turning heads and melting hearts. Cutting loose with Rosie Burgess (bass) and Pam Zaharias (drums), Little Wise fuses Indie Folk-Rock with a damn good dose of Melbourne swagger.
Little Wise is revelling in the release of her sophomore album ‘Want it All’. Recorded at The Aviary Studios, 'Want it All' traverses a classic pop-rock sonic landscape. These songs are shorter and sharper, weaving hook-laden mantras to shrug off self-doubt and inner demons with a rising tide of guitar and back bone of a bouncing bass drum. SCENSTR have described the first single as sitting “somewhere between the growl of PJ Harvey and simmering tension of The Velvet Underground”.

The new album follows her 2016 release ‘Silver Birch’ which was featured on PBS and RRR and won ‘Best Debut Release’ in the Rhythms Magazine Writers’ Poll.  Little Wise has performed at the famous Bluebird cafe in Nashville and showcased in New York City. She has also toured widely back home in Australia, with festival appearances at Nannup, Tamworth, Mount Beauty, St Kilda Live ’n Local and more. She has supported the likes of Frazey Ford (CAN), The Audreys and Dan Parsons.

It’s for good reason too, because life is something this artist has lived. Fields grew up in Te Kūiti, NZ, a farming community in which both her family and others’ work hard to make ends meet. With Mum on guitar and Dad fuelling an obsession with radio, cassettes and vinyl LPs by all of music’s greats, there was a life lesson in every song of Fields’ childhood. 

With one hand on guitar and the other firmly upon heart, music moved Fields through a time when chronic illness, family separations and the weight of life changes presented this artist with her biggest challenges yet. It would be her relocation to Melbourne during which Fields would settle into her most significant relationship to date: that with her newfound network of fellow career singers, songwriters and performers. Life as she’d known it would change forever.

Kat Greta is a Melbourne/Naarm-based artist making waves in the Pop and Indie scenes with her catchy melodies and dynamic drumming. A regular collaborator with acclaimed producer Lindsay Gravina (The Living end, Magic Dirt, Adalita), Kat blends retro influences with modern energy, creating music that resonates deeply with her audience. Since the release of her debut EP “Get Up & Go” in 2022, she has received notable praise from esteemed music publications and industry professionals alike.
