Marking his debut release on Dissident Sound, Zero Day Attack offers a unique perspective into Pro.tone’s style as a producer, showcasing a warped take on UK influences and delivering a fascinating display of rolling grooves and unconventional sounds.

Pro.tone’s use of vocal samples further adds to the curious nature of the music, shrouded in ambiguity and processed in a way that accelerates the transgression into an eccentric rabbit-hole-esque journey.

Difficult to place in terms of genre, Zero Day Attack firmly cements Pro.tone’s individuality in an ever-changing realm of bass music in the 130bpm region. Indicative of how style transcends tempo, only one track – Mechanisms sits at 130bpm, highlighting consistent innovation in a scene which whilst based in the UK, stretches far and wide globally.

Norfn Gyal is part of the label/crew Prescribe The Vibe, one of the North’s leading suppliers in underground flavas. In her mixes for Galdem of Eden, SYN12 and Rinse, Norfn Gyal pushes the music she is passionate about: Techno, House, Garage, Rap, Acid, Jungle or whatever else she may be feeling.

Her transcendent sounds and technical prowess can often be heard throughout the industrial complexes of the North. In this mix, Norfn Gyal exhibits her keen ear for industrial sounds with a journey through UK techno. With glimpses of UK bass, breakbeat and electro mixed in effortlessly this is a must-listen!

As a DJ, Producer, Bassist for the incredible Mamilah and 1/4 of the infamous Stretchy Dance Supply, there is no doubt that Sourpuss has made a name for himself in Leeds and further afield. Renowned for his intergalactic junglism as heard in mixes for Sable Radio and in his releases on Bristol’s Banoffee Pies Records, Sourpuss slows things down for your Sunday-afternoon listening session. As fostered through his recent residency on Refuge Worldwide, Sourpuss provides slow mo dancehall and techno thought through a range of glitchy, ambient and hypnotic sound worlds in his guest mix for GAB. We can’t wait to see what Sourpuss brings throughout the rest of 2021.
