Dr Mann (Danny Mann) is a producer, artist and writer from the Sunshine Coast Australia.
With over 20 years’ experience in the music industry touring, writing and performing in projects such as Town Hall Steps, Invaders (UK), Swimsuit Issue and as Dr Mann. 
Dr Mann also arranged showcase for the head of Island Def Jam records in Santa Monica which led to a management deal offer for Town hall steps.
Dr Mann has toured all over Australia, Europe, US and Asia playing major festivals and sharing stages and tours with artists such as Placebo, Avril Lavigne, Simple Plan, The Getaway Plan, Gyroscope, Kiss Chasey, Shihad, INXS, Hillary Duff, Young Guns, All American Rejects, AWOLNATION and many more.
In London his band Invaders was heralded as the HMV’s next big thing with the band selling out the O2 in North London as well as being a part of Liverpool Sound city festival. This led to the band having industry reps from the US and UK courting the band which eventually signed to Outerloop Management USA and The Agency Group World Wide.
Town hall steps had a number one single across the channel V, Nova and Aus stereo networks back in 2006 as well as multiple Eps and a full length album. The band had music synced for underwear brand Davenport, Milo, The X games and more
Invaders had the song Hummingbird added to full high rotation on Kerrang radio in the uk as well as spot plays on BBC radio, radio X, Q radio and the song was used for the men’s magazine FHM for a swimsuit campaign. Invaders also received a full page feature in Kerrang magazine along with some excellent press in the UK and Europe 

The DR has also been fortunate enough to record in some of the most prestigious studios such as Rock fields in Wales, Peter Gabriel’s Real world Studios, Sony Studios and many more. These opportunity’s gave Dr Mann the opportunity to learn and hone his production and song writing chops with producers such as Steve Osbourne (Underworld, Elbow, Kt Tunstall) , Jason Perry (A, Mc Fly, KIGH, Don Brocco, Pussy Cat Dolls) Rick Wills (Incubus, No Doubt, Gwen Stefani)

More recently Dr Mann started the band Swimsuit Issue which was during the covid period. Dr Mann had a bunch of music he had demoed but wanted to put a band together to play live and record it as a full length album.
The album featured 5 singles with 4 of them receiving spins on Triple J, MMM, 4ZZZ, KXFM (USA) and multiple college and indie radio in the US. The album was highly regarded and well received by online press such as Backseat Mafia. The album was the feature album on Oz Radio nationally.
Dr Mann has also been busy releasing music as Dr Mann, the first two singles Stubborn Mule a coastal cosmic psych country jam and spinning in circles an up-tempo indie rock track received rave reviews and gained airplay on both JJJ and Double J radio.
Dr Mann has been busy composing electronic and synth-based music for release in 2023 as well in collaboration with several film projects as a composer, sound designer and music supervisor.
Dr Mann has a real vibe! drawing influence from old classic West Coast cosmic country of the late 60’s - 70’s as well as modern indie and psychedelic artists such as Wooden Ships, Rose City Band, John Andrews and the Yawns, Tobacco City, Nada Surf, Girls, Khruangbin, Joe Ghat, The Oogers and The Go Betweens, Lemonheads, Even Dando, Cigarettes after sex. As well as electronic artists such as Aphex Twin, Brian Eno, Underworld, Faithless, Boards of Canada, Four Tet, Bibio, Gesseffelstein, Dead Mau5, Squarepusher and more!
The blend of those influences has led to something familiar yet totally unique and original. Dr Mann is set for a successful 2023 and beyond

Sunshine Coast based outfit Swimsuit Issue write an intoxicating and diverse brand of  Indie Rock. The band is influenced by the likes of Deftones, Faith No More, The National,  Cigarettes After Sex, Pink Floyd and Dope Lemon. 
Swimsuit Issue debuted in 2020 with the release of their single ‘Hey You’. The single was  the first offering from their upcoming debut album, set for release in 2021.  
The album was tracked live at Yama Nui on the Sunshine Coast with Steve Summers and  Paulie B (George, Ziggy Alberts, Bobby Alu.) The album also features musicians such as  Dorah Jacson and Jye Perry Banks (Fender, Stetson, Charlie Collins, Lee Kernighan,  Kasey Chambers.) 
Swimsuit Issue have had a huge year so far, releasing their new singles ‘Addict’ and ‘The Feeling’. Both singles have been extremely well received, gaining airplay on Triple J,  Triple M and many other radio stations around the world.  
Swimsuit Issue have just released their new single ‘Hit It With You’. The single is available  on all major online stores.
