We're thrilled to announce that The Slaughter has won the podcast for March! 
We're impressed by his unique mixing style and musical expression, and we're excited to feature him.

Let us introduce him to you: 
The Spanish-Moroccan artist, currently based in London, embarked on his DJing journey in 2013 while living in the north of Spain. Starting out by playing in local clubs and organizing underground raves, his early DJ sets were heavily influenced by dark techno and electro sounds, evolving into harder, darker, and faster sets over the years. With each passing year, he honed his craft, curating an exceptional music library that showcased his skill as a music selector.In 2018, he adopted the alias The Slaughter, focusing on the hard genres of dance music. Industrial hardcore quickly became his genre of choice, drawn to its raw power and obscurity. 

His debut as The Slaughter at Corsica Studios in October 2019 marked the beginning of his journey into the hardcore scene. Founding Distortion Events, he embarked on a consistent podcast series, collaborating with collectives across the Atlantic and throughout Europe, solidifying his presence in the underground scene.Currently pursuing a degree in Sound Engineering and Music Production at the London College for Contemporary Music, The Slaughter is dedicated to elevating his craft to new heights.

With the recent release of an EP on Doomcore Initiative, which received acclaim within the darkcore scene, and plans for multiple Industrial Hardcore Techno releases in 2024, The Slaughter continues to push boundaries and leave his mark on the hardcore music landscape.

Yossef Chahid, now based in London, began DJing in 2013 in northern Spain, starting with dark techno and electro before evolving into harder and faster sets. In 2018, he adopted the alias The Slaughter, focusing on industrial techno and hardcore. After numerous gigs in London, his debut as The Slaughter at Corsica Studios in October 2019 marked his entry into the techno and hardcore world. Then, he founded Distortion Recordings and started a podcast series, collaborating with collectives in Europe and the Americas, and soon enough will relaunch the label and start releasing music from quality established and upcoming artists. Having recently completed a degree in Sound Engineering and Music Production at the London College for Contemporary Music, The Slaughter continues to make waves in the industry.
His DJ sets, known for their otherworldly energy and immersive experience, have garnered significant attention. With a recent acclaimed EP on Doomcore Initiative and multiple releases planned for 2024.

Artwaq is a 22 years old DJ & producer who lives in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He started making mixes about 1 year ago and tracks since the last months. In that year he learned about how to change a regular mix to a creative energetic story. The shape of his story's are created by dark ravesounds, often rude with a sensitive touch. The bpm is often high so you are never bored of it, sometimes even closing with some hardcore. Artwaq gets inspiritation of artists like: Ihatemodels, KRTM, Manu Le malin, D.carbone and Myler. Hard kicks are his speciality and the feeling of tension in a mix gives him goosebumps.
