"Crazay" is the main track here, where Art Of Tones delivers once again his unique sound signature. Evolving around a funky bassline and classy guitar licks, and with its familiar, soulful vocal snippets, the track has an usual, slightly aggressive colour that makes it sound truly different from the usual disco tunes heard here and there.

As bassist for dance-punk outfit The Rapture, Mattie Safer cut his teeth in the music scene alongside a wave of now-legendary early 2000s NYC acts like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, LCD Soundsystem and more (a time period recently immortalized in the documentary film ‘Meet Me In The Bathroom.’) Fast-forward nearly 2 decades and Mattie has found the sweeter side of dance music as the current lead vocalist for slo-mo kings Poolside, and now he presents his solo lovetempo project on Razor-N-Tape.

A chilled-out singer/songwriterly affair, the lovetempo EP moves between organic laidback disco, modern bossa nova treatments, and Sade-esque grown-n-sexy jazz grooves. Hitting notes of both melancholy and positivity, Mattie’s plaintive vocals wind through all 4 of the original songs, delivering catchy and singable hooks. RNT regular Yuksek does what he does best, and takes the most uplifting tune of the pack into positively joyous hands-in-the-air territory with a stunning remix.

Toy Tonics presents a new producer team: Sound Support consists of two enthusiastic synth and house aficionados that everybody knows (in the scene): Lars Dales from Dam Swindle and Lorenz Rhode (keyboard wizard and producer genius).
Together they are doing extremely groovy, jazz infected dance music that connects the good things of 1990ies house with the indie disco of the 2000s.

Lars Dales & Lorenz Rhode connected through their mutual love for all things musically unusual. After years of having worked together on several projects, such as the Dam Swindle live show, they finally got around to making music together. The result has been nothing less than an avalanche of tracks, mostly made in 4 day coffee fueled studio sessions in Lorenz’ studio in Cologne. All reminding the big funk house tracks of the early 2000s. Yes a lot of Daft Punk is here, a lot of NYC disco influences. Larry Levan and Laurent Garnier, DJ Harvey and Masters at Work.. all influences on this record.

After their first two Sound Support EP’s on Prins Thomas’ label, Internasjonal, they’ve ventured out to House of Disco and other labels with a wide array of immensely enjoyable synth heavy tracks. 2023 sees these two venture more into house territory with releases on AUS music and Toy Tonics, two labels that have cemented themselves deeply into the underground scene. In any case, it’s clear that Sound Support have found its signature sound and there is much more of that to look forward to. Toy Tonics is the key label for the wildstyle house scene and Sound Support fit perfectly. Welcome!

"Does It Really Matter" is an electronic song by German producer Final DJs, released by SOAVE Records. The song has a relaxed, melodic vibe, carried by a gentle bassline and powerful synth melody. 

The vocals are tender and emotive, with a soft and clear voice that blends perfectly into the mix. The lyrics touch on the doubts and uncertainties in a relationship and question whether it really matters who is right or wrong. 

The song is a perfect example of modern electronic sound with an emotional edge that provokes thought. "Does It Really Matter" is a successful combination of deep lyrics, danceable beats, and enchanting atmosphere that captivates the audience.

FINAL DJS - Does It Really Matter

Jamie XX turned the pace down, when he sampled this song on his brilliant track "Loud Places". I've chosen to do the opposite and push this 70's jazz-funk gem out on the dancefloor.

"Could Heaven Ever Be Like This" is the opening track on jazz drummer Idris Muhammad's fifth album, "Turn This Mutha Out", released in 1977. And even though this edit is made in 2015, it's supposed to sound kind of like a vintage disco treatment. I hope it does. And that it makes you dance.

Mating Ritual Recordings chief @martinhayes returns to RNT and once again shows his knack for simple yet effective selections and slices. Leaning a bit more toward up-tempo material than his previous RNT EP, “Turn You On” does indeed burn relentlessly hot, while “Love Shine” cruises along, alternating between an infectious electric piano vamp and driving percussion. “Easy Come Easy Go” strikes an optimistic and orchestral tone, sending us blissfully into space, and then “Tiff” rounds out the EP with it’s slow and soulful lilt.

Editorial's new sublabel Clandestine Boogie are back with another fresh and funky release just in time for summer 2018. Following up two outstanding releases, CLB 003 promises not to disappoint as they invite disco smooth-man Sunner Soul along for the next 12” with a 4-track EP entitled "Voyager 84". Along with him comes a mix from Kim & Buran of his Voyager 84 track and collab across two tracks with Russian producer, Scruscru. Sunner Soul now spends his days making music in Saint Petersburg, however is always paying homage to his deeply embedded German roots.

Sunner’s label releases are quite impressive; with releases on Midnight Riot, Editorial and DiscoDat, his talents are obvious to many in the sounds of everything disco, deep & soulful. 2009 saw him start on his own adventure with Vintage Music Records and quickly gained a reputation for the high quality of music, much like Editorial and Clandestine Boogie.

CLB003 is the treat you have been waiting for; four perfectly cut disco anthems each with a special uniqueness of their own. Opening up with the inspiration behind the EP name Voyager 84, accompanied by a Kim & Buran mix on the A2. With the B-side featuring both collaboration tracks, with our delightful smooth premiere ‘Spring Mood’ driving up the energy of the EP. A journey of fat guitars, wonky synths and funky rhythm booting basslines the perfect mix up of house and sensual disco, a sure festival favourite.
