There aren’t many words apt to describe the meticulous musical underground of Los Angeles, but there are some standout faces leading the charge. Nick Coleman, G-Funk padawan turned rap/fashion impresario by way of New Orleans, boasts multi-faceted entrepreneurship and unmistakably California hip-hop music. His debut project, Off Pico, instills in its listeners a special kind of West Coast magic and features a plethora of artists/producers from the City of Angels such as Yasin, Ncognita, and The Adoni amongst others. After four years in New Orleans emphasized by his frequent collaborations with experimental rap trio OFFRIP, Coleman returns to his hometown in 2021 with his team hellbent on stirring the pot and transforming the live music scene in the wake of COVID-19.
