Flutist Leslie Lewis in Robert Cunningham's Lament for Flute and Piano, with the composer at the piano.  This piece was inspired by the intense dramatic style of early Baroque opera and by the musical ideas of the Florentine Camerata in which that new genre was rooted.  It opens with an impassioned recitative in the flute, accompanied by continuo-like chords on the piano.  A sorrowful aria follows.  Later passages interweave the flute and piano melodies in an expressive duet.  Composed in 1991 (revised 2016) but not performed publicly until May 2016.  Recorded on March 25, 2016.

A door wide open
I had never seen before
in the light
of sparkling water streams
for a moment

I created a theme for the mystery, Sherlock Holmes.  This piece has a more modern theme while trying to keep the industrial and bouncy feel based off of the BBC's 2010-2017 TV series original score.

Sherlock Holmes Theme

Sands of Time is Epic cinematic composition dominated by the symphonic orchestra while also featuring solo harp and hybrid elements. It carries a melancholic feel with emotional and touching moments. 

The score starts off with a slow orchestral intro dominated by staccato pattern played by brass and woodwinds sections. Soon after harp joins in leading the song into the main theme. The score shifts into more intensive mood halfway through with the introduction of percussion elements. Song ends with modulation of the main theme with the entire orchestra playing to the full power.

The score is suitable for cinematic trailers, epic movie scenes, documentaries, multimedia projects, video games, promotional and advertising projects.
