Soma Records’ electro sub-label, Avoidant Records assemble a fresh rogue squadron for another massive compilation as 16 electro warriors take on the ‘Dark Planet’.

After the impact of last year's huge ‘Defend Your Planet’ VA, Avoidant immediately set about recruiting another incredible group of artists that represent the Glasgow based label’s output. ‘Dark Planet’ brings together established, classic and up and coming producers who take their cues from the Detroit and European schools of electro. Gathered from across the planet - from Australia, The Netherlands, the USA and UK - the compilation sound is geared up for the dancefloor.

There was a sense of fear and tension in the air as people made their way to work. On every corner of every street CCTV cameras watched them, controlling their every move. There had been a time long ago when everybody was free to do as they wanted, but things were different now. Now they were part of a system, presided over by an all seeing presence that could decide their fate at any given moment...

French electro master Djedjotronic returns to Boysnoize for another high powered and uncompromising EP. The three-tracker follows several solo outings on the label, as well as collaborations with Lokier, Miss Kittin and Cardopusher, and sees him serve up the unexpected. Futuristic and driving, the EP explores the haunted, twisted corners of electro through distorted kicks, coarse synths and jittery percussion.
