The first outing for Woodwork's 'func' series traverses 31 cuts from several artists; some familiar faces already on the roster, some new additions, and some esteemed guests who have provided crucial influence on Woodwork both past and present.

AFT Lounge Tech has purposefully selected a specific range of sounds, compiling a continuous mix designed to weave an essential storyline... one which traces the overlapping sonic footprints of classic electro, breakbeat house, chillout & jazz electronica, idm, and electro funk. The collective sound induces the perfect vibe for an upbeat lounge setting... the 'back room' party atmosphere... suitable for intricate moves on a more spacious floor... simultaneously that warm lit space to relax and soak in some deep, soulful sounds. A crew made up of established and upcoming mind hackers has set out to reprogram MINDFRAME. These data warriors used FRANCOIS DILLINGER’s encrypted code and wrote a new script designed to set us all free from the dream.

Each hacker delivers within their specific character and style, while willingly showing off a range of elegant interpretations—from half-time excursions to acid madness, through time traveling industrial-DNB, laser-sharp rhythms, and hypnotic meditations of melody.

MINDFRAME: is a concept from the mind of FRANCOIS DILLINGER, launched with the album ‘MINDFRAME: Cycles’ on Specimen Records. The story continues to expand during a monthly podcast on Deep Space Radio (twitch.com/deepspaceradio), the final Sunday of every month at noon Detroit | 5 PM London. 'Arcadia' is the next layer in this exciting series by Replicants. This third set of retro electro cuts delves deeper inward - inside the machine. Blinks and beeps, binary sequences, light patterns and primitive code... form and function generated through analog machines... born of diodes, integrated circuits and capacitors... the programs come alive.

'Twenty Thousand Hurts' and 'Ex' rock the floor in the old school way, prominently referencing the classic proto-electro sound, with Replicants' added layer of technicolor excess. 'Arcadia' turns this sonic space inside out and the game becomes hyper-reality where bit-crushed microchip madness battles shimmering frequency modulation atmospheres for sonic supremacy.

Replicants explores a unique angle on early breakbeat and rave elements with 'Mood'. Once familiar frantic hits and staple breaks are new again, wielded as a focused mid tempo trip through rolling swells of side-chained atmosphere.

'Trance Pants' references classic Kraftwerk in its cryptic vocoder hits while grooving in a syncopated bouncy style that loses itself in extreme echo effects and chiptune mayhem. Thick 808 serves as the anchor in a maelstrom of abstract electro.

Following the approach of the previous EPs in this series, Replicants includes a killer set of bonus alternate mixes in the Bandcamp release package.
