Seeing as Mike Ash played a big role in inspiring me to start the Bass Agenda show, which then led to the label being born, it feels like all the dots are joining up as his next album ‘Kilobytes’ lines up to be the 100th BAR release. This will be his third full length release on the label and is real treat for those who love his authentic and distinctive space age Electro vibes.

From Mike: "I haven't written any music for around a year, instead I have been focusing on my other passion - retro computing - programming, maintaining, modifying and repairing 8 bit computers.

In the early 80's as a child, like many, I was interested in home computers. I got my first exposure to electronic sounds via programming the Atari 400 and the Commodore 64 which in turn lead to my interest in synthesizers and MIDI. This album contains sounds from the entire spectrum of synthesis, from analogue synthesizers of the 70's to the latest software on modern computers. The title track Kilobytes features sounds programmed on a Commodore 64 computer."

Our beloved melody master J. Mono is going to kick off the Dalmata Daniel Extra series which is a new sub for limited audio materials. 

The series is inaugurated by two tracks on lathe cut 7" in equal measure of the bright and the dark side of J.Mono's music, life, the universe and everything.

These tracks are untitled, bearing a slightly distorted sound. The B side we arrive at a pitch black rave with heavy drums and an acid bass line sinking us deeper into the darkness of Lajosmizse.

Greek DJ and producer Rise Black has had a good season settled in the south of Spain, during that time he has taken full advantage to establish himself as one of the artists to follow in the future.

In his DJ sets and productions, electro is the predominant genre, but you can also hear echoes of EBM, techno, dark-wave, and acid.  His vinyl sets have allowed him to adventure a good part of the Spanish geography, as well as some more recent Dutch rooms.

His productions have come to light on digital and vinyl, with releases on the Underground Music Xperience labels and legendary Moustache Records of producer/showman David Vunk. He has also spent time launching his networks towards the publishing world, co-directing several record labels such as NNY Records, UMX, and Another Perspective.

An hour of wax gems only, enjoy the mix!
