GABS003 sees Bristol's Works resident Portway join the label’s roster. With previous releases on TRAX HAVEN, Moon Rack, excess, Duckland and JUKE BOUNCE WERK, ranging from 100bpm chuggers to tearout jungle, Portway has established himself as a genre-defying chameleon. His forward-thinking sound design and innovative drum programming has gained recent support from LCY, A.Fruit, Skream and many others.

Portway takes a walk down the more percussive route in his contribution to our recently launched 2-track singles series, inspired by the likes of Sinjin Hawke, Scratcha DVA, Two Shell and Atrice. “Dropshipping” opens with a precautionary melody, descends into a flurry of metallic antiphony and is then quickly pierced by a formidable bassline complimented with intricately manipulated grime vocal samples. “Lithium Souls” combines shimmering pads with considered vocal chops and crackling drums. Jauzas The Shining stars in the new release of Diffuse Reality with a solo album in which the French producer exposes his particular vision of electro, a style that is beginning to have more and more weight in the Spanish-Argentinean label, and that adds to the growing progression and evolution of the platform in which it includes a more extensive range of genres that covers much more than the aggressive sound that so represented this project in its first stage.

Jauzas The Shining recently collaborated on Diffuse Reality with a remix of one of the tracks from Meltphace's album. Now, it is the Frenchman who takes the lead role with a reference that includes 5 original tracks and 3 different remixes of Synthèse by Daniele Paduano, Lenson & FSQ.

From Industrial Complexx we give you a preview of one of these versions, you can already listen to the whole track that closes this album.

Exclusive: Juan MacLean feat. Fantastic Twins - She's Breaking Up

Having released on labels such as DFA or Cin Cin together with his partners in crime, Nancy Whang, Nicholas Millhiser and Jerry Fuchs, and under their The Juan MacLean moniker, the New Yorker John MacLean now makes his Correspondant debut as a solo-artist with his Manthony EP. The four tracker features music that seems to be just designed for that special occasion – namely that of presenting four disco influenced tunes tailored for Jennifer Cardini and her label. For She's Breaking Up John teamed up with Berlin producer Fantastic Twins, who delivers's some magnificent vocal bits that emphasize the overall freaky note of the track. It's safe to say that Julienne's addings sweeten the dark scheme of a creepy and sad topic as the take musically portrays how two lovers can come to end, portrayed by two lovers of the art. It smoothly depicts – with all the heaviness that comes with it – an inner strife of a person that's undergoing the aforementioned (last) stage of a relationship and it seem as if MacLean and Julienne, Fantastic Twins real name, are pretty much on the same page when it comes to musically express it.

If you can feel a chill in the air it must mean there's more arcane sorcery being cooked up in the Blind Allies labs. This Latvian label are surely providing some of the strongest strains of pitch-black underground electro from lesser known operators in the machine funk catacombs. On this new various artists 12", White Mane Horse and Deputy Bender fire off sleek and sinister rhythms while UHU has a little tongue in cheek fun behind the veil of icy whispered vocals and nervy bleeps on "No Body Knows Electro". Theory Of Noise sound taut and robotic, Olloy keeps things plush but noirish, Rnbws fires off a high-definition sound and Theory Of Noise returns for the simply brilliant "Mission".
