For this weeks’ show we are celebrating Recombobulation: An annual music event linked the the Blazing Swan Community here in Perth. It acts as a first public event after the annual burn on Easter long weekend and this years event; REUNIFICATION took place this past Saturday night at the Swans Nest in Fremantle. The night wass a huge success, with two epic stages decked out with incredible artworks and production, featuring some of the top DJ's in the Blaze community.

From 2005, Sammie AKA Samantics craved more from the incredible music scene she’d fallen in love with…inspired by turntablist skills, it wasn’t long before she was the proud owner of a pair of Technic 1200s and a tidy vinyl collection.

Moving forward Samantics had become a crowd favourite playing regularly at Extended Play’s Liquid Lounge. Honing her skills & style she soon caught the attention of the wider DnB community, and promoters such as Inhibit, Boomtick and Roller. Opportunities to play at iconic Perth venues and support DJs including Roni Size, DJ Marky, Aphrodite and Digital started rolling in hard & fast. She helped inspire a new generation of female DJs to step up to the decks at a time where there weren’t many around. Now working closely with Extended Play organising events, and previously Inhibit, Samantics has played a significant role in growing the Perth DNB scene we know today.

Syrus has been mixing for the best part of 2 decades. Heavily involved in the NZ D&B. Syrus soon was a regular in the club and festival circuit in New Zealand and quickly started supporting touring international acts. Residing in Perth for the last 10 years, Syrus has slowly been adding to the Perth underground. During his career he has supported the the likes of dBridge, Instra;mental, Black Sun Empire, Kryptic Minds, Break, DLR, Seba, Djinn & Klute among a myriad of others with the pinnacle being a performing slot at Croatia's Outlook festival in 2019. Syrus brings a journey mentality to every set he plays, always with a nod to the past, he remains steadfast in his underground approach.

Being raised on a strict regime of organic death metal and funk, Voortrekker was drawn to obscure, heavy sounds and complex rhythmic percussion. It only made sense that he would later draw on these influences when he began DJing and producing drum n bass. Having supported some of his biggest drum n bass inspirations over the years such as DLR, Alix Perez and Ulterior Motive, one thing is certain: there will be funk.

After spending years on the dancefloor as an avid DnB fan, Aura decided to get behind the decks to share her love for the genre.
Aura has shared the line-up with big names such as Bensley, and has become a regular in the Perth scene, having demonstrated her skills behind the decks at High Life, Inhibit, WAMfest and Riddim Lockdown.
As a fan of all subgenres, but with a particular fondness for high energy dancefloor; every one of Aura’s performances is a diverse and upbeat ride.

Emerging into the Perth underground bass music scene in late 2014, Ellictt quickly set a high standard for female DJs in the industry and established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the Drum & Bass community. Her track selection combines euphoric dancefloor anthems with timeless classics and rolling basslines, whilst incorporating a fast paced mixing style, keeping any Drum & Bass enthusiast on their toes. Ellictt’s signature mixing style has seen her perform at major venues across Perth (Metro City, Villa Nightclub and Metropolis Fremantle) often before Drum & Bass heavyweights including Drumsound & Bassline Smith, A.M.C, TC, Fred V and Grafix, Danny Byrd and Loadstar. She’s also played alongside local industry legends such as Pendulum, ShockOne and Flowidus, and has taken to the stage of Perth’s largest music festivals (Future Music Festival, Breakfest, Touch Bass and Southbound).

Kristopher King aka KT Kinga is a Drum & Bass Producer / DJ from Perth (AU). KT Kinga has been on the grind recently with supporting tours for Turno and the Good Karma Med School Farewell Tour (alongside the likes of Unglued, Whiney, Keeno, Royalston & Degs). While balancing adrenaline-fueled monthly free-downloads in-between shows, establish a multitude of tracks like 'Candy', 'Red Zone', 'Amplifier', 'Ballistic Liquor' & 'Shake It' which continue to be supported by DJs all around the world today.

This past Saturday was week one of four taking place on the picturesque foreshore at Scarborough Beach, where nine local selectors played sets for the public along the beach and the locals at the skate park. Huge respect to Kieran the organiser and all the DJ’s for playing such top class sets across the day; shout outs to KissFM in Melbourne (on the East Coast of Australia) for helping collaborate on the event too!!

For this weeks’ show we are celebrating the 'Wonderland - BushFire Fundraiser'; an event theat took place in Perth last weekend run by the Mad Hatterz crew.   The night featured two stages of music, two immense SoundSystems, hosted in one of the most unique Warehouses around Perth.  All proceeds from the gig are being donated to local BushFire Relief, after the devastating fires we have had in recent months.  Shout outs to Lachy, Milane, Luke, Toma & the rest of the crew at Mad Hatterz for always delivering the goods!
