Ares Carter is a DJ and producer whose career blossomed from an under-18 club residency in New York City into headlining the biggest festival stages in the world. He’s on a mission to push forward the boundaries of electronic music, armed with a freshly crafted sound aimed towards the international crowd.

He started off as the official DJ for iLoveMakonnen, developing his skills as a globally touring DJ alongside the acclaimed hip-hop/pop artist. This allowed him to build an innate understanding of the dance floor, proving to be an invaluable asset in the years to come. 

Not long after, performances at festivals like Electric Zoo NYC, Mysteryland USA, and Diplo’s Mad Decent Boat Party helped turn Ares Carter into a desirable name across the United States, giving him the opportunity to open for A-list artists such as Diplo, Kygo, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Zedd, Lee Foss, and Duke Dumont.

Ares Carter's single “Faking” on Spinnin’ Records amassed over 3 Million streams to date. The track became a success on dance radio, receiving a coveted Billboard Dance premiere, heavy editorial support from Spotify in over 11 New Music Friday playlists. His official remix for The Chainsmokers’ hit single “Push My Luck” also surpassed over 2 Million streams across all platforms. 

Coming out of lockdown into 2021, Ares had spent the last few years locked in the studio developing a new sound in both his productions and live sets, taking inspiration from all his years rooted in the dance floor with a seamless blend of commercial and underground influences. “Next To Me,”  a club-ready collaboration with ILoveMakonnen was snapped up by Oliver Heldens for his Heldeep Records label and has been featured by Spotify in massive playlists such as Dance Rising and Friday Cratediggers. His single “Out Of Lives” is featured in the official EA Sports FIFA 22 soundtrack, where it is currently being heard by millions of gamers and football fans around the world.

In 2022, Ares made his debut at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, where he treated the legendary Worldwide Stage to an onslaught of his latest original music. He also made his first major strides into the European market with his debut at Ultra Europe.  To close out festival season this fall, he took the Asia market by storm with performances on the main stages of Ultra Japan, Ultra Korea, and Ultra Beach Bali - giving fans just a taste of what’s to come in 2023 and beyond.

I Can Explain is an LGBT+ focused podcast that aims to answer the questions you are too afraid to ask. Hosts Breanne Williamson (the lesbian) and Sean Lusk (the gay) give comedic takes on their queer experiences in a show where nothing is truly ever off limits.
