Trae Rixx (born Masande Mfino on December 1, 1996) is a pioneering South African rapper, songwriter, and record producer known for his unique style as an Ambient Trap Artist. Born in the Eastern Cape, Trae Rixx grew up in Johannesburg, where he discovered his passion for music during his high school years.

In 2013, while completing his matriculation, Trae Rixx collaborated with Lez Beats Production on a farewell song for his classmates, which ignited his dream of becoming a music producer and songwriter.
