Traffico TY was born Tyrone Porter on October 28th at cook county hospital weighing 10 pounds 9 oz. He lived on the west side of Chicago 19th and ridgedway. Then moved to the south side of Chicago were he grew up at. He was first influence by music from his elementary school music teacher who played all kinds of music from jazz to opera and country to classical. When riding home from his grandmothers house who lived on the west side of Chicago his parents would often turn on the radio even tho they couldn't hear. At that point in his life he heard hip hop for the first time. He was more so influenced by the traffic jam mix they would play. Real hip hop as he would call it. There were artist who rapped over the scratching of records and repetitive beats and very catchy sayings. It was the honesty in the music that really caught his attention. They put into music what was really going on around him he said. Then he started watching what music did around him. He noticed that music influence everything around him from artwork to movies to people. From that moment on he wanted to connect the music with the artwork of the world and that is his goal. Making music the artwork of the world.
