Born 24th of March 1987 in Sydney, Australia. Given into the arms of the woman who would raise him as an only child while, his father lived in Chicago. Fairfield City (Australia’s gun crime capital) is what he calls home. Anthony was given the name "Lil Soulja" by his cousin as a symbol of strength and solidarity for being raised without a father and having faced hardships growing up yet still keeping on. This alias was representative of Anthony fighting his own battles every day and soon became a  part of his daily life. Lil Soulja began writing lyrics in 1999 He found that music related to personal struggles and writing lyrics helped deal with anxiety and depression.  Music allowed him to overcome  struggles through it’s ability to allow him to express his own thoughts and mentality as an individual. Music is his personal diary, Soulja’s songs provide an insight into his life and hopefully empowers his listeners to form a connection through his lyrics, to him as a person. His career so far has privileged him with being a support act for different artists such as Jagged Edge , The Game  Ja Rule, ect. His music video "My Throne" hit over 100,000 views and has generated fans around the world.

In addition to Anthony's love 4 music, he is an activist and a voice for his people, The Assyrians. The Assyrians are an ancient civilization from the land between two rivers, (Mesopotamia) also known as modern day Iraq or as he suggests "OCCUPIED ASSYRIA". They are the original people of the land. However, despite their rich history, they are continuously targeted over their identity, leading to the robbing and destruction of their history and land. Soulja has been involved in the organisation of protests, social awareness and has also featured as a public speaker. An "Ashuraya"is who he is and no single person or thing can take that away from him.

SILT is a Melbourne based alt-pop/indie-rock group who borrow pop melodies to lay over indie riffs that are driven forward by bass & drum lines that take inspiration from funk, hip-hop and indie-rock vibes.
