Dance Dance Particles is ZONA's last EP from 2021 by DJ LHC @user-530367445 , natural from Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A 7 track release exploring Jungle in it's most beautiful form, using melodic vocals and sax lines blended with digital arpeggios and atmospheric pads.
Amens that follow all harmony building tension and releasing energy through 808 pulses. Although all the classic vibe, there's something very digital and playful going on here, inserting other hybrid rythms like in "STORAGE" and the final minutes of "LAST NIGHT" that also brings another mark of LHC's work: memphis vocals.
There's a lot of digital culture here that remount to a long afternoon at an arcade store dancing on a early 2000's japanese pump machine.

QUARANTINE SONIC SQUAD est une communauté de musicien-nes de différents horizons formels et stylistiques, rassemblé-es sous cette seule et même bannière suite aux mesures de confinement radicales prises par l'État français en réponse à l'épidémie de COVID-19. 

L'idée derrière le projet "DAL DE VIVRE" est née de deux contextes spécifiques qui sont les conséquences directes de cette crise socio-sanitaire globale. Tout d'abord, cette situation nouvelle et extra-ordinaire de confinement (temporaire mais non moins nécessaire) qui nous a poussé toutes et tous en tant qu'artistes, interprètes, producteur-ices, instrumentistes, DJs et autre professionnel-les de la musique, à repenser notre activité professionnelle à l'aune d'un repli spatial forcé. Puis en un second temps, la situation plus qu'alarmante dont souffrent les plus démuni-es de nos soeurs et frères humain-es, mal-logé-es, sans-abris et autres occupants de logements insalubres, rendu-es de facto incapables de se confiner sereinement. Cette précarité, déjà visible bien avant l'apparition du virus, est exacerbée par la gestion ultra-libérale des territoires habitables. Effet collatéral d'une époque où la privatisation des biens publics par certaines puissances industrielles et économiques tend à être rendue légitime par les institutions qui devraient pourtant oeuvrer à  leur sauvegarde. Et dont les symptômes ressentis intimement, dans nos chairs, ne font que s'amplifier en ces temps d'urgence sanitaire.

Également conscient-es des engagements militants menés par le DAL (Droit Au Logement) afin de faire bouger les lignes sur ce sujet à une échelle plus globale, nous avons donc décidé de produire un objet musical qui viendrait soutenir leur lutte sur le plan financier (par contribution directe en achetant cet album - à prix libre) tout en constituant un relais à leurs différentes modes d'actions actuels revendications d’urgence : la réquisition des hôtels, meublés touristiques, logements et bureaux vacants pour loger les sans abris mais aussi très mal logés et victimes de violences conjugales et intra-familiales, le moratoire sur les loyers et les factures d’énergie, avec rétablissement et renforcement des APL, l’arrêt de toutes les expulsions...

Malgré ce contexte tout à fait nouveau qui tend à interpeller nos consciences, nous avons produit cet album animé-es par des énergies salvatrices. Tous les morceaux qui le composent sont les produits du confinement et du bouillonnement de ses auteur-ices. Il comprend aussi quelques collaborations inédites d'artistes qui n'auraient d'aventure pas été amenés à travailler ensemble dans une autre temporalité, mais qui se retrouvent ici main dans la main pour créer un contenu musical solidaire et militant. Sa narration a été pensée comme un écoulement, qui vient tout du long se faire remuer par des vagues soniques aux couleurs variées qui, nous l'espérons, rappelleront à nos auditeur-ices à quel point la scène électronique française est riche musicalement. Par delà les frontières du genre et des querelles esthétiques de chapelle. Bonne écoute et bonne lutte !

25/05/20 Pour son émission "Take Me Higher" sur Radio Campus Clermont, SNKLS reçoit chaque mois un producteur pour présenter ses compositions sous forme d'une mixtape. Ce Lundi 25 mai c'était au tour de Agôn de mettre la main à la pâte avec 30min de dubplates, sorties récentes et quelques wardubs.

Quarantine Sonic Squad is a collective uniting many electronic producers and musical activists in France (and beyond), born under the epidemic era and brought together by Tim Karbon. Its aim is to create a musical corpus that has its roots in today's electronic / club music phenomenon, regardless of genre attributions of any kind.

QSS VOL. 2 "LOCKDOWN COMBAT" is our new militant album, following the initial "DAL de Vivre" project which was thought as a musical tool to gather funds and waving public attention upon bad housing problematics in France, increased by the COVID-19 pandemic. This first opus was released in May 1st of 2020 & quickly gained critical / media acclaim from the like of Resident Advisor, CouvreXChefs, SeekSickSound, Dure Vie...

After uniting our energies to work with the DAL - Droit Au Logement ("right to housing") french association, which is helping oppressed and homeless people to get safe spaces to live in, we are now joining forces with the BAAM, another solidarity collective based in Paris. They are providing to all refugees & migrants a juridic, cultural and social support through french classes, administrative help and housing solutions, among many other things. They have also created a LGBTQIA+ safe-space for asylum seekers facing daily homophobia or transphobia.

This 49-tracks album is our personal tribute to all the people threatened by governmental actions with the hunting of refugees, to all victims of police brutality & systemic racism. Spreading sonic love to all our brothers and sisters who face state violence and neoliberal laws that place economic growth of the few above the right to live with dignity for all human beings. The whole piece will be exclusively downloadable on Bandcamp for a low price, with all funds going to the BAAM to help them on militant and activism aspects.

On vous présente la track de Agôn (@agonsound), 75 December. Une track résolument drum, jazzy et avec de grosses influences dub. A la fois légère, aérienne et entrainante, c'est un morceau parfait pour égayer vos premiers apéros printaniers. 

EN: Egregore Collective (@egreg-re) comes back with a new V.A that puts forward Few Tips to Heal collective. It's a real rollercoaster awaiting you with 5 tracks going from jungle to jazzy drum n’bass in Total Science way, and with a a touch of drumfunk. 
We introduce Agôn's (@agonsound) track, 75 December. A track that is definitely drum oriented, jazzy with big dub influences. At the same time light and aerial, it's also really catchy, to sum it up it's the perfect track to enjoy your drinks in the first beautiful evenings of spring.
