Berlin’s Hypersoft collective kick off their new label with a 15-track VA raising
funds for trans youth and a launch party at OHM.

The collective, run by Berlin and London-based DJs TPR and DJ TEETH, emerged onto the scene in 2022 and is known for balancing breakthrough and established artists from the new school of the progressive landscape with legends and innovators of the scene, a resident lineup that includes Cromby, Bambi and Bliss Inc. and guests ranging from Sunju Hargun and Spekki Webu to nd_baumecker and Jane Fitz.

Their first release as a label follows the same principle: Adam Pits, Angel D’lite,
Bliss Inc., Cromby, D. Tiffany & Dugong, DJ TEETH, Desire, Dylan Forbes, E-Talking, Eoin DJ, Frederik Tollund, Inner Zone, Kasper Marott, Lisene and Running Hot all contribute to a VA that represents the nexus point where multiple axes of the current club landscape converge. Futuristic neo-prog and razor-sharp tech house, heavy progressive rollers and massive dancefloor bombs, percussive acid workouts and lush, synth-driven HD prog, neo-trance vocal euphoria, feel-good house, dreamy breaks and UK rave nostalgia: It’s all here, colliding on a VA that explores the spaces inbetween and a vision of things to come.

100% of the profits from the VA and launch party go directly to Transgender
Europe and Mermaids, two organisations doing essential work supporting and
advocating for trans and non-binary youth in Europe and the UK.

The 6th release on Foresight Records is almost here! This time Foresight invited Neo to bless our ears with his captivating take on progressive house. Neo is a 20-year-old musician from Amsterdam, who finds inspiration in the dusty gems of his father’s 90s vinyl collection. Influenced by the sound of that era, Neo sets out to forge a modern yet nostalgic take on progressive, techno, acid and trance.  The result is a 4 track EP spanning the fields of house, techno, and trance. Binding the spectra of these styles together with trippy motives, striking stabs, and intriguing synth lines. 

Big Warps is a proggy, dreamy track making use of recognizable and compelling trance vocal pads. For this EP we have asked Tifra to remix his favourite track of the EP. This has resulted in an amazing housey take on Big Warps.

Kicking things off with 'Magic Carpet Delivery Service', experience blissful summery highs before delving deep into the eponymous track, 'Dance Science', which promises to rumble club systems and festival stages around the globe alike.

Bringing you back to reality, 'Polar Sunrise' incorporates infectious energy with euphoric basslines and breakbeats, completed with a no-nonsense remix from Kalani featuring disorientating, distorted vocals and a breakdown set to turn things upside down.

Ending things on a relaxed high, 'Pharoah's Curse' floats nonchalantly through the atmosphere, letting your mind wander with it's bubbly synth-work and curious, shifting melodies.

PREMIERE: Mezer The Architect – Be A Hoe [SMILE007]

Using just the acronym of his real and artist name, Matthias Schildger, is back in top form on his and brother Christian's Mainrecords imprint, gifting us the 'Radiation Dance' EP. On the vinyl version, it's four tracks from Matt and one from both brothers as CSMS, plus on the digital release there is the bonus cut of 'SomewhereInSpace' from Matt, of which more will be written later. 

The energy gets a clubby boost on the A2 as the title track gets moving along; crisp beats are married to an arpeggiated bassline, slight bleeps and subtle FX sounds wrapping themselves around the main structure of the track to give some warmth to proceedings. As with the opening track, there are quietly placed spoken vocal parts, never firing from the speakers, but just adding a layer of sound to complement the main action. Memories of Axe Corner's 'Tortuga' or C-Concept's 'Why Naked?' sprang to mind, with the track's pulsing early 90s electronic feel, which is no bad thing at all.
