Eris, a name of the Greek Goddess is the next release on Pulsar Recordings! Andy Farthing presents his debut release in a form a mind-blowing uplifting gem of a track. Ethereal voices, hidden piano melodies and lush synhts all build together to provide that ‘out of this world’ trance feeling. Year 2014 for Pulsar couldn’t start better, as a Gatekeeper of Trance we are opening our gates to the new talents and new trance sounds that will carry us through another promising year.

Hypaethrame worked his remixing magic and delivered a tighter version that holds all the essentials of the original piece. Fast paced with firm synths and big build up’s it sure makes it an interesting alternative to listen to.

Andy Farthing - Eris (Original Mix)

Another new talent coming from Moldova is SoundGate bringing us an amazing uplifting track by the name Migration. Being his first Pulsar release, it is evident from the very beginning, that the amount of effort that has gone into creating this emotional piece is really outstanding. Piano melody will lead you through this track almost the entire time being backed up by the big synths that give it a great deal of drive, making this journey quite euphoric.

The remix side is taken care by one of the Denmark’s finest trance producers, Jesper Olesen. His version features a more prominent kick stab with sliced up vocal chops and gritty synths all leading up to an everlasting breakdown. It opens up with a haunting flute melody followed by the emotional piano piece that unites all trance sounds to dance in a unison proceeded by the plucked sounds giving a rise to the whole composition that drops on us like a waterfall.

In 2014 we will be bringing you even more fresh faces on our label, one of them is Trizet, presenting us his latest EP in form of two tracks. Above The Clouds is characterized by the uplifting pads that carry us straight into the magnificent breakdown that pulsates with epic synths, bringing us closer to the climax that is full of positive emotions. N.A.G. features heavier kicks and a more progressive approach in the intro that slowly unwinding its hidden beauty in a form of unique swirling sounds that get joined by the dreamy plucks, adding yet another dimension to this already great track.

Sky Flight is back on Pulsar Recordings with his friend Carl Overnet to showcases us their latest single called Whisper In Mind. The track is a very uplifting one, with its main theme being a flute sound that certainly has that misty whispery sound that feels like millenniums old. All other things are there to accompany this sample, like the inspiring synth melodies and mesmerizing piano lines that will make you listen to this piece more than once.

Specific Slice remix has that pumping club feel but is also a darker version that puts more focus on a piano theme from the original, while the Behind The Sunset guys created a banging tech track, that features big synths and nasty kicks all ready to be dropped in a club of any size.

Please welcome a new name on Pulsar Recordings straight from the Dutch trance land, it is Ataraxia bringing us a single titled Hydrostatic. The track starts very enthusiastically with fast paced elements, but don’t get the speed get to you, because it is only getting you warm for the best part, the breakdown! The soft pads and lush guitar melodies will open up its gates of pure magic and euphoria setting the mood just right for another speedy adventure of the upcoming uplifting part.

The remix comes from C-Project, featuring a spacy intro, and a breakdown that has even brighter pads than the original. The lush guitars also get accentuated by the background violins until the big synths take over and flip over this track to the side of untamed uplifting trance.

It is time to welcome new name on Pulsar Recordings, straight from France comes Stephane Badey with a track called Mars. The ode to red planet starts with electrifying synths, and progressive melodies that steadily build up to the dazzling breakdown. The remix comes from another Frenchman, it is our well known producer French Skies. Caldera by Raytheon is one of those tracks that leave your whole body shivering once you indulge yourself in this piece of art. When we released this track back in 2012. we could not have imagined the success it will reach. It went on becoming a true classic of Pulsar Recordings, people all across the world loved it to bits, even saying they would like it to be their funeral dirge.

Fast forward to the present moment and we are prolonging the life of this amazing track by releasing a re-mastered version along with remixes by the well-known producers Ahmed Romel, TrancEye & Farzam.

Ahmed Romel's remix comes in two versions, the first one includes a haunting vocal line by Laurence Fishburne from the Matrix movie while the second one is the instrumental version. Ahmed introduced new leading synths in this remix that gives Caldera a whole different meaning with those hard kicks and rolling basslines that sit beneath it making this track worth of a listen anytime.

Fragile Flame

The newest release on Pulsar Recordings is a blissful, uplifting track brought to you by Ihor Mihal.

The original mix of ‘Afield’ starts with pumping kicks, a rolling bass, and echoing vocals. These sounds pave the way for a synth loop, which progresses as it takes over. A beautiful piano melody eventually intercepts and leads the way into the breakdown, where it rings and echoes, giving the listeners the illusion of being in a wide, open field.

Following the melodic breakdown, the kicks come rushing back, building tension before leading to a perfectly timed, euphoric drop.

The uplifting mix of this track is driven by a heavier, more prominent bass that is eventually taken over by the synth melody as it rises and surrounds the listeners, before collapsing towards the breakdown and giving way for the piano melody.

During the uplift, the synth takes the lead ones again, moving towards a drop equally as moving as in the original mix.

The Akku remix, on the other hand, is characterized by a higher-pitched and faster piano melody that takes the lead before the track moves towards the breakdown, followed by a punchy and equally as fast uplift that will make the listeners lose control of their feet as they move to the rhythm of the beat.

The Lucas Moor remix starts with percussive and looping sounds, building up towards a high-tempo’d synth. As the breakdown approaches, the synth quiets down, giving way for the melody to sing in the distance while being accompanied by atmospheric sounds.

Afield

Ihor Mihal - Afield (Original Mix)

French Skies returns to Pulsar Recordings following the release of his single ‘Hieroglyph’, this time with an EP, entitled Calista, comprised of two original tracks and a remix.

The title track of the new release is a fast-tempo’d emotional tune that takes off with a looping melody. Slowly moving towards a drop that brings in echoing sounds, the tune eventually turns to a calm piano melody accompanied by orchestral instruments in the breakdown.

During the uplift, the melodic loop jumps back in, rapidly rising towards the skies and leading to a drop that will get the listeners pumping their feet to the beat.

Blue Tente’s take on the track is an even more emotional and uplifting version, with an underlying bass, and a sharp piano melody that leads the way from the get-go and into the melodic loop, followed by a heavily-instrumented emotional breakdown - all building a smooth journey that leads straight into an epic, mind-blowing uplift. Following the drop, the piano melody comes back in, slowing the listeners towards a calm stop.

‘Sun Dream’ is a more tension-filled track that starts with a driving bass and is slowly taken over by a synth that constantly rises and leads towards a bright, upbeat melody. This is followed by a short breakdown that slowly moves towards the climax as the synth and bass return, leading to a heavy drop, bringing back all the sounds that dance in chaotic harmony.
