Mio is the second album from the Psytrance project of Jack Allsopp - Act One. Jack spent 2 years crafting this album, trying to make it an album that you will listen to from start to finish as one piece. He wanted to craft something unique and that did not use the usual psytrance methods of sound design and arrangement and moving away from stylistic norms. Each track was started with a specific concept and context within the album as well as creating the dancefloor energy. Jack streamed the entire album process, inviting all into the process and creating a community around the album - ready to present to the world!

Throughout his life music has been a loyal companion either by playing multiple instruments, being surrounded by musicians, or listening as much as possible, always being eager to find new inspiring musical ideas.
Once he discovered psychedelic trance, he knew the possibilities of musical expression would be endless. After years of experimentation, trial and error he found his own unique interpretation of psychedelic music.

Dave Mac has been DJing for over 20 years and has had a major influence on the South African psytrance scene dating back to the nineties. His involvement in psytrance and dance music culture stretches from partnering in South Africa’s premier production team – Alien Safari in the early 2000’s, to owning South Africa’s No.1 dance music publication, BPM Magazine, for 10 years. Today he runs and owns IDMMag.com, a South African electronic music portal. 
He often plays back to back with his son, Josh Mac, an accomplished DJ himself. They are one of the few, if not the only, Father/Son Psytrance DJ duos who play major
outdoor festivals.
