Three years ago we released the first Human Blue album, finally it is time for the follow up.
Even though he has not had any releases on Spiral Trax, Dag Wallin surely kept himself busy on other labels. He is also studying to become a teacher at the University of Gothenburg and has worked part time as a music teacher as well as in a music store.
Electric Roundabout is a move from the darker sound of recent productions and represents a move towards a deeper, progressive sound. Yet he's still managed to keep his feeling for delicately structured soundscapes and harmonies backed up with a chunky groove.

The expectations on the long awaited new album from this classically schooled musician has been extremely high but not over exaggerated. When the first single, 'Carpe Diem / Intercity', from this album was released, it got enormous reviews in music magazines and became the single of the month on websites all over the world.

From the inside cover: A little "ferry tale" 

Once upon a time, a trance artist went travelling from Sweden to Germany to perform. It was a cold, rainy, and windy night in late December and he was in a hurry to reach the destination before the night was over. As he drove off the ferry into Germany, the customs stopped him when they saw that he had spikes on his winter tyres. They wouldn't let him through since spikes are forbidden on the Germany autobahn. 

They gave him three alternatives: 
1) Go back to Sweden 
2) Pull out the spikes manually. One by one! 
3) Buy new tyres. 

What did he do? The answer is found on the cover of this record..."the show must go on..."

Saiko Pod aka Koxbox aka Psychopod is back! Stalwarts of the danish scene for some time Frank e and Ian Ion starting working together in the early 90s. After a couple of singles under the name 'Koxbox' they got picked up by german superstar DJ 'Sven Vaeth', who signed them up to his seminal 'Harthouse' label. In 1991 they brought their second album 'Dragon Tales' on englands popular electronic label 'Blue Room'. In the same year they made a lot of remixes for bands like 'Slinky Wizard' or 'Juno Reactor' and start their second project 'Psychopod' wich released a couple of succesful singles on 'T.I.P.' records. In the summer of 1999 'Koxbox' put the finishing touches to 'The Great Unknown'. This was a radical departure from the known 'Koxbox' style, slower and more funky, but retaining the crystalline production and exquisite application of state of the art technology for which the band is known. After the success of 'The great Unknown', they set out to work on the 'Psychopod' project and give it a new spin. After the demise of 'T.I.P' records they decided to take the project in a new, more club oriented direction and change the name to 'Saiko Pod'.
Now the first 'Saiko Pod' album was finished and licensed to 'Spiral Trax'. Songs like 'Silent Running', 'Groove Moderator' with their massive club potential have already caused huge attention from across the board and will soon be remixed by top scandinavian acts.The magnicant downbeat of 'Wednesday', plus the full-on assault of 'Magnetic Forces', 'Apollo' and 'Tron' are making 'Phutures and Options' one of the most mature trance albums in ages. 74 minutes of intelligent trance and downbeat that builds on the 'Koxbox' tradition for punch and innovation!
