Hello listeners! Time for another podcast of our series! The guest of episode #151 is a talented young Polish artist - Staryk.

 [BIO]:
Staryk – export stuff from Olsztyn, based in Gdynia (Poland).
Surrounded by music since his early years starting with the long, arduous years with classic guitar and drums. After moving to the seaside went into underground electronic scene and started to find his own style. Few years of crafting evolved into his own vision which he sticks until today. Most recognizable of combining percussive, up-tempo sound with a rolling bass and spatial pads which gives us groovy mix, full of surprising breaks.
Inspired by style from UK players like: Rene Wise, A.Morgan, XONO or Flaws and also Portuguese vision from Vil, Re:Axis and Temudo.
On the scene since 2019 when he played his first DJ set for wide audience on Gdańsk shipyard in former club Protokultura on one of local collective “Techenko” party. One of the member of PPL showcase crew which organizes events in legal and “less legal” manner around Tricity area.
Addicted digger and music collector, raver and vagabond.

Staryk is a young Polish DJ, artist and adept in sound engineering. He has been associated with music from an early age. Member of Polish Techno.logy label and PPL Showcase collective.

During his adolescence, classical guitar and percussion were the foundations of communing with sounds in his life. A few years ago he soaked in the underground environment of electronic music and started his adventure with darker sounds for good. A few years of painstaking polishing has resulted in the vision of sound, style and technique, which is his trademark. Most recognizable of combining percussive, up-tempo sound with a rolling bass and spatial pads which gives us groovy mix, full of surprising breaks.

Inspired by style from UK players like: Rene Wise, A.Morgan, XONO or Flaws and also Portuguese vision from Vil, Re:Axis and Temudo. A compulsive digger and music collector, which he always carefully looks for in the track selection process. The basis of his "hunting" is always "quality", which he describes as: "building a story through the creative use and combination of sound elements in the arrangement of the entire track". Precision and details are therefore of great importance for Staryk, and the result for the audience, according to artist is to be "a journey without gravity, among undiscovered planets."

An avid record collector and enthusiast of Techno and House - his DJ sets and tracks combine the raw, dark and deep elements of these musical forms with a firm nod in the direction of Detroit.

Parisian – Benales has been honing his skills since the end of the 90s with impeccable taste and steady determination. As an avid record collector, vinyl only DJ and enthusiast of Techno and House – his DJ sets and tracks combine the raw, dark and deep elements of these musical forms with a firm nod in the direction of Detroit. His talent allows him to put himself in many clubs in Europe like Tresor, Rex Club, Le sucre, The Gate (Georgia), Spain... but also as a regular guest of Concrete when it’s not rare to find Benales surrounded by guest of solid reputation like DVS1, Zadig, Surgeon, Steve Bicknell, Dj Pete, James Ruskin. Fascinated by Techno and coldness of electronic music, he released some EP’s and remixes on Sino (Technasia Label), and notably “Elements part 1 & part 2” have marked his spot in the international scene. Over the years, he had several releases on outstanding labels like KEY Vinyl (Freddy K label), Suburban Avenue, Analog Solutions, Knotweed, Diffuse Reality, Inguma and many more to follow.

Jego talent pozwolił mu grać w wielu klubach w Europie, takich jak Tresor, Rex Club, Le sucre, The Gate (Gruzja). Jest także stałym gościem klubu Concrete, gdzie często można go znaleźć w towarzystiwe takich tuzów jak DVS1, Zadig, Surgeon, Steve Bricknell, Dj Pete, James Ruskin. Zafascynowany techno, wypuścił parę EP i remixów na Sino (label Technasii) które wraz "Elements part 1 & part 2" zostawiły trwały ślad na scenie międzynarodowej. Recorded entirely analogically, Forgiveness of Blood is the perfect demonstration of his vision; With an ambient intro to ease the listener into the experience, the EP moves through the raw and scratchy sounds that have always distinguished both KR3 and the artist himself. 

The reference to the 12” dynamic and rough rhythms is also clear in the artwork curated by Chianjna.
