Nearly two decades into Daniel Stefanik's accidental career, and the core of it remains the same: “To make music, that is when you are in love.” The quintessential Stefanik production style is yet to find its limitations. Dub, house, techno and minimal converge, deepness and melancholy encounter maximalist tones, extravagance is steeped in nerdy sound aesthetics, and it's all executed with his unmistakeable style. Born in a provincial district near Dresden, Daniel fell for techno in the mid-90s, and once he'd taken a heavy dose of electro, and turned out the debut EP Them People in 2003 with Matthias Tanzmann, there was no turning back. Releases and remixes with that special Stefanik-Feder(feather) followed for Mobilee, Cocoon, Growin Music, KANN, Dissonant, Freude am Tanzen, Dessous or Raum…Musik. The end of 2008 saw a the release of Daniel's critically acclaimed solo album Reactivity on Statik Entertainment, superseded only by the epic follow-up Confidence for Cocoon and his album Genesis on Statik Entertainment, which is strongly marked by his roots in Detroit Techno. Love is constant, love is change. Daniel is loyal to his Leipzig base and its tightknit scene, his long-running DJ residency at the city's Club Distillery, and to his namesake solo sound that spawned a string of releases for labels like Moon Harbour and Cocoon. With his alter ego DLSK he had his debut in 2015 and sought out the headiest moments on the after-hours dancefloors. With a range of future-forward projects in the pipeline for 2019 - new music, new EPs, handpicked gigs, a residency for the new event series SAFE HOUSE and some special back 2 back performances with his buddy Mathias Kaden - Daniel's love story continues to add more and more vital chapters.

For their fifth release, Belgian label LINK Audio turns to German electronic maestro, Alexander Kowalski who temporarily steps away from techno to deliver two beautifully crafted electro tracks.

Alexander Kowalski has been producing and performing since 1997, often fusing elements from classic Detroit to historical Berlin techno in his music, which has appeared most prolifically on Kanzleramt, as well as Different (PIAS), Tronic, Propaganda, Factor City and many more including his own label, Damage Music Berlin formed in 2009.

‘DGTSU’ is a hard-hitting but at the same time melodious electro track with glittering retro elements sweeping alongside modern production techniques, while ‘Connected’ brings a moody timbre that’s dark and atmospheric.  Both tracks are a testament to Kowalski’s skilful approach to music.

Gagarin is the solo project of Graham “ Dids” Dowdall  - member of avant-rock legends Pere Ubu and former collaborator with Nico & John Cale and prolific collaborator. As Gagarin, he produces instrumental electronica with a sound of its own it sits astride multiple genres and styles. He has released a series of solo albums which have gained increasing acclaim.

Gagarin has created his own extended remix of “Eskil” (Green Shoots mix) as part of a series of “ virtual 12s “ taking the opportunity to develop some key elements in the original drenched in distressed melody and glitch beats. He has also commissioned long term ally Prophane to bring a DJ’s approach to his rework
 
Prophane is a legendary French DJ and promoter on the left-field, chill-out scene. He came over to the UK in the early 21st Century and established the now iconic Moon Palace club night/day which ran for several years in Camden, Shoreditch and Paris and became the Sunday after-club favourite of many on the ambient and chill-out scene. Andy Weatherall, Casper Pound, Mixmaster Morris, Tunng and many more all graced the stage or the decks. Now running Camberwell’s famous Rat Records , Prophane is a master selector and curator. Having turned down many requests, this is his first commercially released remix due to his perfectionism and particular tastes.  Prophane adds a found sound vocal sample to the stripped-down beats and snatches of the original melodies to create something that sits between the dance floor and the chillout room.
