Free Ride

nowhere wood’s atmospheric single “bloom” was recorded in London earlier this year, creating a soundscape that is reflective of nature’s changes whilst also capturing its profound beauty. The song features bright tones and calming melodies reminiscent of pastoral English writers like Nick Drake and Syd Barrett, alongside the ambient work of John Fahey.

Esser’s debut album Braveface is something of a lost classic - ahead of his time, brilliant attitude thinking person’s pop - with SUCH tunes. From “Headlock”, which we originally released on T-shirt format, to Work It Out, Satisfied and I Love You… balanced by album tracks of insane substance such as Bones and Stop Dancing.

This early b-side shows the punk roots of the project - a joyful explosion of the absurd to blow away the cobwebs and set you up for the day.
