This time we are joined by David Seres aka Peku who is a Hungarian DJ/ Producer based in UK. Since 2017 he has been cranking out dance floor heaters. His minimal style techno containing groovy bassline and dark synths and topped off by alien atmospheres, does not go unnoticed around the world.

Recently he appeared on Kellerhobel part of a release as a remixer of Artur Achziger’s “Side Effect”. If you have not checked that one out please do so as the whole release rocks and Peku’s remix is truly one of a kind. You will also find the track within this Kellercast.

This week’s Local Selection Mix comes from Limerick-based Magoo as the youngster supplies a steamrolling entry to our mix series. The Touch of Techno resident rolls up his sleeves and gets straight to work on this one as he blitzes through a selection of 90s-inspired techno cuts while pairing contemporary new-school flavours to devastating effect.

Magoo has proven himself to be one of the most promising artists to hit the Limerick techno scene in recent years through his residency with Touch Of Techno as well as making regular appearances on the Irish circuit where he has shared the stage with a host of Irish and international talent. 

A student of the golden age of techno, Magoo is infatuated with the art of fusing deep and callus soundscapes with club-focussed power. His DJ sets are a combination of unwavering groove, layered with atmospheric textures and pulsating basslines. This unique fusion is made to push dance floors to their limits.

Magoo is also busy working on thrilling self-releases that draw inspiration from the timeless allure of old-school sounds blended seamlessly with deep, entrancing hypnotic elements. Magoo’s music is a journey through time and space, offering a unique experience. 

The Limerick boss turns up the dial for the 222nd edition of the Local Selection Mix, as he races through a selection of groove focussed hypnotic treats. The youngster keeps his foot on the pedal while also creating great tension and release moments without the need for big breakdowns. Magoo creates a teeth-grinding yet immersive soundscape and journey through tight mixing & well well-thought-out track selection, this is top-class.
