Since 1991, Tresor has provided a home for artists to develop their ideas for advanced new sounds and broadcast them to the world. The pioneers that first traversed the Detroit-Berlin connection and were at the forefront of a new cultural movement gave to Tresor its original and continuing mission: community, resistance and reshaping the world to come.

The Tresor 30 compilation represents a major landmark in this continuing history of electronic music. This unique collection of music profiles some of the artists that gave the previous three decades of Tresor its sound and foundation, but it also casts its gaze forward. Writing new postcards from the future, this collection brings new artists who maintain a connection to that original mission to the fore, charting ways in which this ethos can continue to build bridges and break walls in the next 30 years.

Bringing together 52 essential tracks - both classics and exclusive commissions - each of the 12 records in this box-set charts a unique line of flight from those artists that helped define the shape of this new music to those who continue to pattern its landscape further.

At long last, hi-tek whizz-kid Metrist returns to Timedance with the third addition to the ‘Pollen’ series and brings his epic trilogy started in 2019 to a breath-catching end. 

Elevating an already unique approach of sonic craftsmanship to whole new levels, the London based producer delivers some of his wildest and most dramatic compositions to date while pushing further his signature blend of 22nd century dancefloor pyrotechnics.  

From the angelic vocal cascades of opener « Leven Lever Liver Love » to the heart-wrenching heights of « Bullet Time », a playful and intricate display of cross-pollinated emotions shines through this collection of boundary pushing tracks, giving them a life of their own while bringing to completion a stormy cycle of auditory experiments into human nature. 

As thunderstorms form, pollen grains often ascend into clouds, soaking up humidity to a point they inevitably burst out, liberating innumerable particles that tumultuous winds send back to ground-levels. 

With a false sense of distance and safety, we sit back and watch the lightning strike in complete awe, unaware of pollen slowly descending from the skies, making its way through our lungs and deep into our bodies : the storm may be over, but Pollen has now fully become a part of us.

Arnaud Le Texier returns with another stomping release chalking up his 5th EP on @soma with the Pulsar EP. Known for his raw and hypnotic techno, the veteran UK based producer drops 5 varied yet uncompromising tracks that are indicative of his sound.

Opening with Puzzlin, Arnaud is on a tougher tip as hard hitting kicks and low end drive drive a loopy and percussive driven weapon. Next up, Nocturnal takes things on a deeper trip with warped sound design creating an ominous tone. Title track Pulsar ups the tempo with a distorted and relentless percussive workout from the offset. Tension has Arnaud dropping his most hypnotic and twisted track of the EP as syncopated synths filter in and out, creating tension throughout. Bandcamp exclusive track, Structure opens out into more melodic elements, backed with Arnaud’s signage driving drums.

Hailing from outer space via Reykjavik, Volruptus maps out intergalactic forms of communication on ‘Alien Transmissions’, the latest release from Bjarki and Johnny Chrome Silver’s inimitable bbbbbb records.

Bjarki and JCS write - “The best thing about releasing someone’s music really is if he's from your hometown and is your friend. Bjargmundur, aka Volruptus, has been quietly doing his own thing for some time now and we’ve been receiving his music for more than a year and at some point it's just the right moment. He's signed to our label with the strongest EP of the year. We feel that Icelandic dance music has never been so active before. We all do know each other for a long time, finally we are more open about our music and enjoying every minute of it”

'Alien Transmissions' is a disorienting dose of acid powered electropunkfunk whilst ‘Jargon’ uses complex polyrhythms to propel a grinding techno stomper. ‘Gett Vffreakye’ uses percussive breaks and mechanised vocal chops to depict aliens having a live jam in outer space, whilst closing track ‘Tesseract’ is an angular drum workout featuring animated bass and dissonant pad calls.

Like each bbbbbb release before it, Volruptus presents an intoxicating EP that pairs impeccable sound design with an unruly approach to genre, form and style.
