If you are curious to learn more about Chinese piano music, here are 5 reasons to discover Chinese piano music. 

1. Yin and Yang. This principle of the Chinese philosophy describes how obviously opposite forces may actually be complementary in the natural world, and how they may enrich  each other as they interrelate to one another. You will experience this philosophy emotionally when you hear how the melancholic and atmospheric sounding piano pieces and the staccato dancing, bouncing rhythmic fast pieces give rise to each other.
2. In Chinese musical symbolism the flowing chords, arpeggios and runs imitate water, which stands in their philosophy for emotions. You will get carried away by the manifold water elements in the piano music.
3. The music has flowing structures and is often using the high register of piano. This gives the music a peaceful and calm sound. You will feel how relaxing it is.
4. The music takes you in a world full of fantasy. Already the titles of the compositions stands for the mystery of Chinese culture: „Silver clouds chasing the moon”, „Twin Butterflies“, „Blue Sunset on the red-coloured river“ or „The Flowery Moon Night of Spring River”. Most of them are expressing the natural beauty of flowers, birds and landscapes.
5. Many piano pieces are folk song arrangements and are rooted in the Chinese culture. You will discover how Chinese composers express the beauty of the land and people by using Western compositional techniques. It is a living developing music.

Fyodor Biryuchev works in style which is called contemporary classical, it combines melodiousness and fleshpots of classics with a freedom of expression and simplicity in perception of modern music. 
The second album «By The Sea» is a new stage in the composer's work. In his new record, the author refers to the sea as a phenomenon that is closely and deeply connected with his life since childhood, as he was born and raised in the town by the sea. There are expressive and dramatic works along with gentle and deeply lyrical compositions in the album. New creative signature of the composer is distinguished by diversity, imagery and picturesque. 


‘The album «By the Sea» reflects the stories that I have heard… Coming to the sea is much like returning to your true self. In this sense nature and music have similar impact on one’s personality. Living Sequences Pt. 3.

Hi all,
This is the second piece i have composed and produced using the Korg Wavestate. Since purchasing it, it has been a really interesting and exciting experience learning how to find my way around it, but it gets better everyday and I think it is a super synth.
For now I am using presets for pieces as I learn to programme it but I do not want to get carried away and want to become comfortable with all of the sounds, samples and filters, as well as the best way to record it into Logic X before I start to create too many of my own sounds. 
Anyway, please take a listen and let me know your thoughts. I used the following equipment for the track:

Hello everyone, I would like to show you my new album "Pereehali". This is my third album, it was written and recorded in the summer of 2012. After a long writer's block that was caused by a very pretentious and bombastic second album I decided to make a really intimate, solo-piano work. I lived in the countryside during the recording sessions, and every recording was done by me tête-à-tête with my lovely piano in the wooden house. It was a priceless experience working and writing while having a close contact with nature, it helped me a lot to understand the music I compose, to make it more organic, touching and moving.

The name of this piece refers to the nymph from Homer's "Odyssey" that rescues Odysseus after his shipwreck. The piece features a typical staple of medieval instruments, though does also feature a cello which technically didn't exist until hundreds of years later :) The track starts serenely enough, with dueling whistle and bombarde parts in a type of "conversation" with each other. This then gives way to some ethereal vocals backed by a medieval lute and a baroque guitar ... before all hell breaks loose and the song moves squarely into its second act.
