Looney Moon Records' new series on radiOzora is kicking off with a special selection by label manager PHOBOS, paired with an audio-illustrated interview in The Ozorian Prophet.

LOONEY MOON – After promoting Trance parties in Italy for many years, the illustrious crew of Looney Moon eventually decided to spread the vibe of their events to an international audience. And which better way could have been chosen than doing this via music? So Looney Moon Records was founded in 2008, drawing on a collective of promising and varied artists from the very first day.

Concerning the music, the two label heads DJ Fog and DJ Phobos manage to realize a refreshing independent underground style. Based on a very sophisticated approach towards production quality, Looney Moon stands for highly energetic, kicking bass sounds and catchy synthesizer riffs, escalating to twisted sound structures and uplifting breaks and finally joining all the musical forces again in an intelligent, harmonic and melodic groove. This sound philosophy is currently represented on the new compilation “Looney Mood” that lives up to its name pretty much and therefore includes some seriously mad dance floor bangers.

PHOBOS – Since always into electronic music, in 1997 dj Phobos started listening to psy-trance, going to parties and festivals all around Europe. As a dj he has played in many parties and festival around the world together with lots of artists of international fame in the world of trance. From the point of view of his musical choice, he doesn’t like sticking to just one style of psy-trance, but he prefers to adapt his set to the hour, the people and the situation he finds himself in, taking always special care of the mixing. When playing during the night hours, he usually offers a Psychedelic Trance oriented style, with very psychedelic sounds which try not to degenerate into maddening noise or too dark influences; in the morning hour he will more likely choose to play more full-on underground stuff, trying to remain within the borders of psychedelics but with softer sounds, more suited for the light. Anyway he would rather play at dawn, according to him the most suitable moment of the day to enjoy his best sets. His djset is full of unreleased stuff .

He founded Looney Moon records with a group of friends in 2008, and he's still managing the label with dj Fog. Today Looney Moon Records is a very weel known music label with 5 killer compilations , 3 albums and lots of digital EP which bombed the dancefloors around the world.

In this In Focus edition we’re presenting a Swiss psy-duo, Oli & Pat, and their Rugrats project. Check out their interview on Ozorian Prophet!

The Project Rugrats was created by Oli & Pat around 2013.
The start is already in the childhood with saxophone, piano, and Guitar they laid the foundation for the musical career.
Fast they became a name (at the time under the name “Doppelpack”) with their groovy tunes and pumping basslines in the regional club and outdoor scene and play at some nice Events like Cosmic Circus Festival, Sundaze Festival, Optic Revolution Festival, Flying Mystic and All Stars Gathering.
Next to producing and djing they compiled a VA called: Escaping Reality.

Looney Moon Records series continues with an exclusive mix by Fench producer duo, RADIKAL MOODZ.

Radikal Moodz (Maxime and Dominique) ,are the freshest new Psychedelic project from France. They began the project in 2016, however the sophistication of their sound seems to suggest they’ve been around for quite a while longer. Since 2016 they have released 2 E.P’s on Maharetta Records ( Spain) , plus a further 2 tracks on 2 separate Festival VA compilations. Before Radikal Moods, both of them gathered their skills and influences amongst some of the worlds biggest Psy festivals; Dom being known under the name of Dj Dooms as both a Dj and producer, and Max as a Progressive/ On project known as Beat Defenders . In mid 2017 they signed to Looney Moon Records (Italy) as part of the “new wave” of rising French producers like Earthworm, and are set to enjoy many years of every increasing success. Radikal Moodz deliver something both very rare and refreshing to the Global scene. Remaining pure in spirit to the classic Goa Psychedelic sound , whilst redefining the whole genre in such a modern way.

Dribble, born on the 15th of May, 1993, is a Live act psychedelic trance producer from Syria based in the USA. Being a part of the well-known progressive metal band, Animate Experience since 2007. Started experimenting with diverse music styles in the ever evolving underground scene has given him the ability to blend the intricacy of studio production processes with the immediacy of engaging live performances. His architectural background, love for all things neon and psychedelic, and numerous visits to Goa have not only molded his ability to reach higher states of consciousness through music, but have also served as pillars to all the mind-expanding experiences he shares through his production. Dribble creates a hypnotic experience for all the listeners on the dance-floor, until linguistic abilities fail and the only viable communication method becomes dancing.

Khaze es Filipe Costa, nacido en Bruselas (1992) Bélgica. Desde temprana edad, siempre mostró una gran influencia e interés en la música electrónica. En 2011 tuvo su primer contacto con psy trance yendo a algunos eventos en Portugal.

En 2012, decidió comenzar el proyecto Khaze, que está lleno de buenas vibraciones positivas y electricidad. Después de haber lanzado varios EP y participado en varias compilaciones. Actualmente está preparando su primer álbum que saldrá a fines del año 2020.

Khaze is Filipe Costa, born in Brussels (1992) Belgium. From an early age, he always showed great influence and interest in electronic music. In 2011 he had his first contact with psy trance going to some events in Portugal.

In 2012, he decided to start the Khaze project, which is full of good positive vibes and electricity. After having released several EPs and participated in several compilations. He is currently preparing his first album to be released in late 2020.

IRY comenzó su carrera como DJ a la edad de cinco años, con sede en la región japonesa de Tokai. Visitó Hungría durante sus años de escuela secundaria, marcando su primera incursión en la escena europea.

Ahora solo con 21 años, su experiencia como DJ abarca dieciséis años, con actuaciones tanto dentro como fuera de su país de origen. Estos incluyen el Nagisa Music Festival en Osaka 2012, Inochi no Matsuri 2012, Green Magic, Re:birth, Sunshine Festival, Earthfest Revolutions (Taiwán), The Experience Festival 2017-18 (Tailandia) y muchos más.

Su estilo de DJ es ecléctico, abarcando una amplia gama de energías, desde graves ritmos medios hasta pistas inspiradoras. A partir de la primavera de 2017, se unió a la familia Grasshopper Records, trasladando su base de operaciones a Tokio. IRY started his DJ career at the tender age of five, based in Japan's Tokai region. He visited Hungary during his middle school years, marking his first foray into the European scene.

And now, at just twenty one years of age, his DJ experience spans sixteen years, with performances both in and outside his home country. These include the Nagisa Music Festival in Osaka 2012, Inochi no Matsuri 2012, Green Magic, Re:birth, Sunshine Festival, Earthfest Revolutions (Taiwan), The Experience Festival 2017-18 (Thailand), and many more. From mainstream gatherings to the underground, IRY knows no limits.
