Metasonic is the psychedelic DJ project of Sidney van Dyk. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa now living in Bangkok, Thailand.

Since first being exposed to psychedelic trance music and culture in 2009 he fell head over heals in love with both.

He believes that the psychedelic trance journey at it's roots is one of the most liberating and freeing experiences one can have. Be it progressive day-time to Full-on night time to Darkpsy etc, etc, etc and all the myriad of genres in between. The journey it takes you within your own consciousness and who you are after experiencing this journey of sound and self is what made him fall in love. 

Hence the name, Metasonic(meta - after / sonic - sound) is a tribute to that place in all of us that we reach after being taken on a psychedelic sound journey.

His vision for this project is to bring about journey sets to take the listener to that special place inside themselves.

Huge electronic music fan, passionate musician and dj. Ultimately into psy and related. Still love and listen to almost all kinds of music. Enjoy life and celebrate this divine gift.

Inspiré depuis plus d'une quinzaine d'années par la musique électronique, c’est en découvrant les festivals psytrance Français et Européens que Psynomis se lança dans le djing et dans la production de psytrance. Motivé tant par l'esthétique dansante de la Psygroovy mais aussi par les atmosphères sombres, psychédéliques et marécageuses de la forest, il vous emportera dans son univers mêlant euphorie et introspection.

Inspired for more than fifteen years by electronic music, it is by discovering the French and European psytrance festivals that Psynomis launched the djing and production of psytrance. Motivated as much by the dancing aesthetics of Psygroovy but also by the dark, psychedelic and swampy athmospheres of the forest, he will take you into his universe mixing euphoria and introspection.
