Culture Is Not Your Friend

This is a track I submitted for the Magpie Mutineers Nightmares & Dreamscapes collab. This is the retelling of a dream I had a month ago, and the bleeping at the end is morse code for "I am Assimilated"

Lyrics:

We were trying to navigate that when word started spreading across the news and internet that an invasion of some sort was about to happen, so we started gathering bedding and a few important personal items and we were stuffing them into a crawl space under the floor where we were going to hide. Outside, we saw a bunch of weird retro/future looking ambulances and vans carrying guys in hazmat suits circling the area. 
That's when Government agents came into our homes and told us they had a safe place for everyone to go to.
FBI / Governments have everyone step outside their homes and gather together in public for an important global announcement / emergency evacuation of their homes.
Every man, woman and child goes outside awaiting this message and helicopters are flying around. 
Then the Blackout. 
All I see is a 2-D digital world online where I'm forced to mindlessly do things farm yellow coins and go to websites like YouTube and play stupid kindergarten-level browser based games and act like bots on social media platforms).
I snap back to reality with a shock as Emily pulled a chip off the back of my neck. 
Everybody is sitting at white metallic tables, completely naked (man, woman and child) staring blankly forever plugged into a virtual reality to act as the internet for eachother. The games you play and things you do actually condition someone else's (also under control) lives.
Emily and I managed to break free of the implant and hide in her house (a bit of a cottage). She hid behind the TV and I hid under a table. Agents in hazmat suits walked around outside and were going in and out of every house looking for something. One caught me under the table but I managed to wrestle him to the ground and suffocate him, and Emily and I were on the run. At one point we had to sneak back into the group and back into our chairs and pretend to be assimilated again during one of the breaks, and someone made notice of my eyes and chin moving. I didn't know that wasn't supposed to happen and pretend to "404" by collapsing to the ground.
One of the nurse technicians drags me away after much talking amongst the staff in the room, and while she's attempting to repair me I manage to escape again to find Emily and somehow free my family and everyone
We're chipped to run and operate the internet acting as "The Internet" for everyone else. The nurse has also been assimilated but is physically under government control to act as a nurse (because the chip also gave her abilities to do this task without training), and as a result it turns out the entire government is assimilated and acting under control of one super genius madman in his quest for global donation. He started by assimilating one person in the government who then assimilated others until the entire government was under his control. Then he had the government assimilate the public.

I miss the night before, Laying on the floor in the admiral's studio with Dad watching a messed up program on a small TV that turned from a weird Noel Fielding show into a screaming women's face, then into a trippy music video and back to the face.
