Welcome family, to a new musical celebration for you, a magical multicultural nectar for your ears brought from France and Portugal with the Folktronica sounds of Renato Zentrip, a multi-instrumentalist explorer who since his beginnings has undertaken a journey searching for consciousness and spirituality through sound, obtaining a very special result that we want to present to you today. 

¨ Journey for the Self ¨ is a journey that inspires us to find self-knowledge, after all ¨who am I?¨. With a colorful range of languages and rhythms, Zentrip Muzik combines his ideas with those of Surbhi Samdani from India, Geovanna Romeiru from Brazil and the talented Australian trumpet player based in Berlin: Kelly Odonohue.

A release full of life, soul and spiritual richness, tailor-made and with a lot of love for music and multicultural grooves, a sonic journey that will bring peace, rhythm and joy to all our musical family.

Bienvenida familia!, a una nueva celebración musical para ustedes, un mágico néctar multicultural para sus oídos traído desde Francia y Portugal con la Folktrónica de Renato Zentrip, un explorador multi instrumentalista que desde sus inicios ha emprendido un viaje buscando la conciencia y la espiritualidad a través del sonido, obteniendo un resultado muy especial que queremos presentar a ustedes.

¨Journey for the Self¨(¨Viaje por el yo¨) es un viaje que nos inspira para buscar el auto-conocimiento, después de todo ¨quién soy yo?¨. Con un colorido abanico de idiomas y rítmicas, Zentrip Muzik combina sus ideas con las de Surbhi Samdani de India, Geovanna Romeiru de Brasil y la talentosa trompetista Australiana residente en Berlin: Kelly Odonohue.

Drowning in the Sea of Love tells a story about love, death and resurrection. It is a musical journey which reflects my own process of being separated from two of my closest and loved souls in my life as they left their physical bodies and now inhabit a comfort space in my heart. I’ve learned that this thing called death, regardless of its irony, can hand you the keys to eternity. By practicing the colorful and mysterious ways of music and embracing destiny, eternal light will shine on the souls that are no longer with us. It is possible to keep them closer than ever before (as heard in the last chapter of Mozart’s Requiem - LUX AETERNA).

Hopefully, this record will help you find light and comfort in times of separation, and these melodies will remind you that love is eternal, that love is a cure, and spending time with your loved ones is indeed more precious than gold.

I had the privilege to record and perform this record with many talented musicians which I’m lucky to call my friends:
Or Mahapatra, the heart of this record, accompanies us throughout this journey with her soulful vocals and her colorful musical presence;
Danny Kuttner (Okaya) brings the breeze into the music with her enchanting vocals and humbleness;
Ronen Roth, the wizard of sound, taking this album from the bottom of the sea to a colorful, breezy, and cinematic journey;
Gzhurkina Art turning music into colors. With her painting, she unveils more layers to the music, which I never knew existed.
Unfortunately, there’s not enough words to praise each one, but be assured that there is a beautiful story behind each note that’s been recorded here.

This album has been composed, arranged, and produced as ONE consecutive journey from start to finish, crossing genres and various melodies to manifest what is now the ‘Drowning in the Sea of Love’ story.
I’d recommend sparing 20 mins to engage and listen to the whole record as one whole composition.
