Nuh Chat EP

CIA Deepkut returns with a new EP, from a name new to Drum and Bass, Adred. 
Four tracks filled with textures, rhythms and feelings, Adred has alongside co-writers Robert Manos, TRAC and Lystone, put together a body of work that shows a versatility and understanding of what makes for music with longevity and character. 
The title track is an organic beat featuring well-known and respected vocalist Robert Manos. Utilising parts of the vocal takes that others would have discarded, live drums and a free flowing arrangement, ‘300 Pages’ weaves through the Brooklyn streets, taking you with it. 
‘Into The Storm’ features Lystone, the track showcasing a strong link between producer and vocalist. A straighter more robotic beat, held together with thinned out vocals, amen edits and analogue pads, makes for an altogether deep meditative track.
‘Drones’ steps out tough yet deep, with an eerie vocal from rapper TRAC telling us what we all know to be the truth. Atmospheres wrap it all together, with a powerful pulsing mid bassline pulling the listener in every direction. 
Rounding up proceedings is ‘Red Night’. The excellent vocals tie together the pairs US hip-hop influences, along with a classic break, sonar style atmospheres and hypnotic keys. Drawing you deeper, Lystone’s lyrical flow and prowess really shines on this track, with the backing track dragging you in. 
An EP of various flavours and feelings, it’s a great start to Adred’s discography and one that CIA is proud to present.
