Mexico’s leading underground Duro Label is back with another incandescent EP, this time from Torreón based producer Macualay, who serves up fine three original deviant house cuts with a remix from Fabio Me Llaman Soltero.

During last year's confinement, using the lowest lo-budget equipment and a microphone of dubious provenance, Macaulay together with his bastard clone DJ Papi created a new EP full of corrugated house, heavy kicks, fleshy basses and highly impure synths.

Opening the pleasure feast is ‘A Gozar’, a six-minute roller with ghostly buried synths, narcotic voices over heavy drums and chubby bass. “Latinon”, the second original track and the first of the two collaborations with DJ Papi, is a HOT, clear example of Mexico's tech-mex sound at it's finest: an anthem for the sexy young souls of the forbidden latin warehouse party scene.

Up next comes “Meneitous”, a lewd lesson in total tension that takes the dancefloor to darker places. On the remix duties, Guatemala’s papi Fabio Me Llaman Soltero delivers a chunky tribal beat running through flailing percussion, delayed vocal sounds, and uncontrolled synths.

tigrics aka Róbert Bereznyei is one of the earliest pioneers of the Hungarian IDM movement: since he started the industrial noise band Rianás in 1995 with Prell, he is actively releasing under several monikers such as Thindrummer, Tatasi Dadadata, DrapDap, playing solo hardware livesets as tigrics, and performing with various jazz, post-rock metal and drone bands such as Drone Travolta, Fuzzkeyone or his short lived duo with Balázs Pándi, Rezsidémon.
His enormous discography features albums on imprints like the Chicago-based Kind Gesture Records, ultrahang of Budapest, Highpoint Lowlife from London and Keplar from Germany with fans and supporters like the comic guru Warren Ellis.
His style varies between old-school braindance, goofy breakbeats, lazy drum machine programming and shamelessly uplifting synth approaches, mostly on hand built or proudly digital modulars along with a healthy measure of processed and layered field recordings. His unique hardcore ambient style is truly one of its kind.
Muzzle Soul is an LP that grew from a making a jungle mix for a friend and listening to older, grittier music and software, especially obsolete free stuff and being knee deep in a Squarp Pyramid midi sequencer for writing MIDI, hooked up to a G2 Nord Modular he’s been using the past 16 years patched into a tiny block of Serge Modular, the gear that helped him thru lockdowns in London where he has been living for the past 3 years.

Jazzy, an unprecedented collaboration between headlabel Tha_Guts and São Paulo producer Ätzøk, promotes the third release of the label DSRPTV rec. The EP features the original tracks of the duo 'Jazzy' and 'Kitchen', circumspect and multiform structures in gently accumulative dynamics. 'Jazzy' also takes a remix by Akin Deckard, a version self-styled as Legato Acid Remix, and 'Kitchen' gets a deconstructed and atmospheric edition of the label itself, ending the EP's magnetic narrative. The work consolidates DSRPTV's aesthetic proposal by presenting deviant and unprecedented sounds, resuming here the singularity of bebop jazz under experimental lenses, in the three-dimensionality of an electronic environment.
