Madloch's 3rd Avenue is pleased to welcome back Argentinian producer Gero Pellizzon with his first solo release on the label, the Sonar EP. After making his debut earlier this year on the We Are the Future 2025, Vol. 1 compilation, Gero returns with a project that highlights his melodic sensibility and finely tuned approach to progressive house.

Alongside the original, the EP features three diverse remixes from an international selection of artists. Argentina's Kevin Yair delivers a deep and hypnotic take, while US-based producer Ev Rymd reimagines the track with his atmospheric and textured style. Rounding out the package, Brazilian duo Cipriani & Hans Gerd join forces for a collaborative rework, infusing Sonar with driving rhythms and a warm, emotive edge.

An artist whose music pulses with the energy of a ballroom in full flow, Kiddy Smile’s career has gone stratospheric since he made his debut on Defected in 2016 with ‘Let A Bitch Know’. A record embedded in the dance rituals and traditions of the scene in which Kiddy is an influential character, the track snapped with the energy of dancer voguing and expressing themselves on the dancefloor. Traversing the worlds of music and fashion, working with the houses like Balmain, Balenciaga and Alexander Wang, it seems fitting that a fellow star of both worlds, Honey Dijon, would now remix his Defected debut for the labels’ disco counterpart Glitterbox. Adapting the instinctive danceability of Kiddy’s original, Honey brings her distinctively bold and hedonistic style to the ballroom inspired cut, producing a remix destined for the darkest recesses of the dancefloor. As well as a brand new Club Mix from Kiddy himself, this package also features two remixes of his second Defected release ‘Teardrops In The Box’, adapted for Glitterbox’s disco-tinged sound. Up first, rising star of the London underground Alex Virgo delivers his mix, with an infectious bassline, jacking beat and shimmering, atmospheric builds ready to conjure wild energy on the dancefloor. Closing out the release, US duo Gettoblaster deliver their gloriously frenzied mix, with looping horns and swirling synths to boot.

The Survival Series EP017 - Adamwah and Paul Najera & Boys Don't Disco

When Oliver had completed his debut album ‘Another Day Another Dollar’ back in 2018, we were about to release it on Industry Standard, before the mighty Classic Music Company swooped in to sign it, and released it in spring 2019. During this time Oliver had commissioned a series of remixes from his homies, and now with Classic Music’s blessing we are able to release these remixes here on Industry Standard.

This is the second of 3 remix EP’s in the ‘Another Day Another Dollar Reconstructed’ series. Vol.1 saw Todd Edwards, Demarkus Lewis & Sinistarr, take the reigns. Now we have Christian Nielsen, JR From Dallas & Peter Croce stepping up to show us their takes on these tracks.

We set things off with our Play It Down label mate Christian Nielsen’s remix of the album opener ‘Sampling’ from Oli & Gene Farris. Christian takes a direct dancefloor approach jacking up what was originally a slo-mo spoken word mood setter. This is a charged up filtered house banger that has a nod to a DJ Sneak & Armand sound from back in the day. A solid approach for the material being remixed.

Next up we have JR from Dallas, who takes on remix duties of Oliver’s ‘Outer Drive’. The original album track was a more sedate 103bpm jazzy down tempo jam, but JR has come with his own vibe on a deep Chicago House tip. He’s beefed up the beats and has up tripping on his groove throughout his remix.  It’s one for late night heads.

Finally, we have Detroit’s Peter Croce delivering a signature low slung remix of the blue’s house track ‘The Delta’ from Oli’s collaborators Matthew K, and Daddy Hemingway. This remix takes a lovely groove driven approach that grows over the course of the track using Daddy’s vocals under a build of Peter’s own additional keys. Another wonderful remix in this evolving body of reconstructions.  Keep your ears pricked for Vol.3 coming in October.
