@interstate98's first release on @waxtefacts was ‘Vanice Beach’, a funky roller that owes as much to disco as the club. He’s followed that up in perfect fashion with a solo EP for the label.

Kicking that EP off is ‘Karl-Löwe-St. Groove (ft. Biroll)’, a track that opens with melancholy piano before erupting in a blaze of searing disco samples packed to the rafters with funk and groove. It’s one for peak-time dancefloor destruction.

After a string of strong releases, Fine (@sayhitofine) are back. For their 6th release, label co-founder Johannes Albert (@johannesalbert) takes the reins with the Lousy Livin' EP. The end result is a collection of floor-shaking deep house jams. Covered Call is a strong opening to the EP, a thumping journey lined with strings, horns and euphoric vocals.

The Lousy Livin' EP is out on vinyl & digital on October 10th 2017.

In Hour 2 we hand over to the Bristol based Banoffee Pies label run by Ell Weston & Sandy Hagenbach. The label started in 2013 as 'a platform for music with no signature sound - for the lovers and listeners' and their vinyl mix features music by Jedi Knights, Fred Prest, Little Tokyo, Matthew Brown and Johnny Blas remixed by Carl Craig. They had this to say about their mix;

SEBB JUNIOR hails from Spain and has only been into House music since 2013 so his progression is something quite incredible. After quality releases on LARGE, SALTED, MADHOUSE and his own label FRIGO VIDE, PAPA released SEBB’s debut album REWIND in 2017 to critical acclaim.

Originally from Bristol, England, BEN JACOBS aka CRACKAZAT is a multi-Instrumentalist and electronic producer. Since his emergence he has remixed for the likes of JOEY NEGRO and TOM MISCH and had numerous stunning releases on the wonderful Swedish label LOCAL TALK.

STUDIOHEIST are SCOTT LEE & ANDY CAIN, two music obsessed DJs & producers from Manchester, England. The guys have been dropping some quality tracks and remixes on labels such as LARGE, KING STREET, I RECORDS, GRAND PLANS & MOULTON MUSIC.
