Traxsource LIVE welcomes the Sun, Romanian born and raised DJ and offspring of Foundation Amsterdam, the Hip Hop Center where she learned DJ’ing and dance as strongly connected cultural art-forms. The Sun aspires to create space on the dance floor, where music becomes a narrative that speaks for itself, and get people to forget about the unnecessary and dance. 

She has delivered a mix that reflects her passion for House music and its eclectic orbit of genres, drawing inspiration from the distinctive sounds of Detroit, Chicago and New York. Enjoy!

TRAXSOURCE LIVE! Sessions #244 - The Sun

European/German with Japanese ancestry is born, raised, lived and worked in Düsseldorf, Germany, Nobu Furukawa a.k.a NOBU DUS started buying music since the age of 12. 
By the late 80s, he got heavily involved in House Music due to the greats like Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles, Larry Levan, David Mancuso and CJ Macintosh, just naming a few who inspired him much. 

His DJ sets are often soulful, warm that bolsters out smooth vocals, bouncing bass, and vibrant layers of percussive beats, that are sparking big smiles when he stands the decks. 

Currently, he resides in Kyoto, Japan, where he hits the local scene demoing the crowd with the latest underground gems.

Monthly resident at Disappearing Dining Club-Dartmouth Arm’s.. Co-founder of Esoteric Club nights and regular at Alfresco Events and Shoreditch’s well known ‘disco pub’ The Horse and Groom, after more than 20 years 'proper' Londoner Jay is still immersing himself in all things house music.

With roots in disco, Motown and electronic synth pop as well as being a former ardent raver, Jay has amassed a huge collection of vinyl dating back to the 70's. 
Having played many a US house gig at some of London’s most iconic venues in the past, in more recent times Jay’s style has evolved and whilst still selecting house also throws electro, afro beat and disco re-edits in to the mix.
With several parties lined up for 2018 Jay is also looking forward to sharing a summer stage for the incredible Alfresco Festival with Rebolledo, Fort Romeau and Manfredas.
