Born Isaiah Taurus Roberson of Flint Michigan, The Artist/Poet/Songwriter known as "Zaya" inhaled his first breath on March 26, 1990. Sixteen years later Zaya began to develop a passion for music. He began writing poetry and performing in Poetry Slams as a teen in high school (Flint Northern High school) prior to ever recording a song, this is where he gained his confidence and comfortability from. While in high school, Zaya earned a reputation for being an exceptional writer. Eventually Zaya discovered a more intriguing way to compose words, this was over beats. Unlike Most of Zaya's teenage friends who all began writing and reciting rhymes at the age of 9 or 10, again Zaya became interested in creating lyrics at the age of 16. After experimenting with industry instrumentals for a small period of time, Zaya was fortunate enough to connect with peers who were extremely talented at producing original sounds. Around the age of seventeen, Zaya and a few friends formed a group called "Livin Proof Clique." L.P.C and its affiliates consisted of a few local artists/producers who Zaya knew from either school (Block, Dre, Mike Flo, KP), his first place of employment (Factz, A1, YBU, DLu, DoughBoi), or his Neighborhood (Ace, Que, P). Even though (to most of the artists involved) LPC was just a name, Zaya is still currently viewing Livin Proof Clique and Livin Proof Recordz as a vision of great success. Zaya (currently 21 years of age) is now an aspiring professional recording artist/songwriter with impeccable writing abilities and extraordinary swag who hopes to make great success of his talents.
