The Name Soultraxx comes from his own Company Soultraxx Productions which he and friend Fulu Madzunya founded and registered in 2004. The entity specialises in music and film production, multimedia, digital graphics and concept development. So it’s clear that anything to do with music and visuals was a calling.

His selection features highly futuristic sounds that also remain relevant to the current dance arena. He draws his inspiration from Dj's such as Louie Vega, Harrison Crump, Dennis Ferrer, Armand Van Helden, Black Coffee, Vinny Da Vinci, Ryan Bliss, Christos Katsaitis, Rocco, Bhoddi Satva, Blaze, Ralf Gum to name but few.

His first encounter with the wheels of steel was back in Hillbrow, Johannesburg at a Nite Club known then as Ground Level where Dj Jawz (former producer of Dj Fresh’s Breakfast Show on YFM) served as resident. Hillbrow to music lovers and producers would today be compared to Chicago. It is this very neighbourhood where many of the prominent South African Dj’s, Producers and Artists had emerged. During this period, he joined arts and culture group Amajika Performing Arts Institute where he learned about music and drama. This saw him perform alongside PJ Powers for a June 16 event at the Civic Theatre in Braamfontein and the Whitney Houston SA Tour with other group members.
 
Seeing Dj Jaws spin made Dj Soultraxx™ want to learn the craft even more. He then started collecting records from House Africa Records where legends like Vinny Da Vinci, Christos Katsaitis and Iggy Smallz would constantly be at reach. This was even more of an inspiration. Ever since then, Dj Soultraxx™ would never stop spinning. 

Young as he was, he would go on and find himself rocking Dj Fresh’s Mad Half Hour on Yfm when they were still located in Bertrams / Bez Valley, became one of the residents at The Rock (Waterfront), played at countless house parties, teamed up with Dj Mayibuye (currently the Music Director on Jozi FM), played alongside Dj Mbuso, Glen Lewis, LuloCafe, T-Deep (Metro FM), Ryan Bliss (UK), Rhees (Cape Town), Grandmaster K, Thee Gobbs, Black Coffee, Clive Bean (Soulcandi Records) to mention a few.

His influence comes mostly from Jazz and Neo-Soul, Smooth Sexy Vocals, Tribal Beats and some Rock. Music made for the Soul, Soultraxx.He is definitely here to stay. So go ahead. He currently holds residency @ Cofi Cedar Square, Fourways, and Johannesburg, South Africa where he mesmerizes the dance floor every Friday and Saturday.

Born in 1993 December 26 in Johannesburg, Tembisa. Started school in Moriting Primary and completed matric at Zitikeni Secondery School in 2012. I furthered my studies in 2013 at Soul Candi Music Institute, I studied Digital Music Composition and Post Production and completed in 2015. The Love for music started when I was 15 and started to deejay when i was 17 year old. Since then, my passion for music started growing til I started to go study music and start producing my own music. I was inspired by my brother whom i didn't knew then that we are sharing same passion, Charles Ramoganyaka well known as Shadowtrick.
