Dark Entries is working in reverse order to re-issue Dark Day's first album  "Exterminating Angel" originally released in 1980 on Lust/Unlust.  Dark Day is the minimal electronics brainchild of Robin Crutchfield following his separation with no wave band DNA. Growing up in rural Pennsylvania, Crutchfield was fascinated with both performance art and the most esoteric edge of pop music. After making his escape to New York City in the mid-seventies, he was inspired by Yoko Ono’s Plastic Ono Band and Lydia Lunch’s Teenage Jesus & The Jerks, he made the transition into the new music of downtown Manhattan and formed the “no wave” band DNA with Arto Lindsay and Ikue Mori in 1977. 
In 1979 Crutchfield left DNA to pursue a series of musical projects under the name Dark Day.  By the time of Dark Day’s first album, “Exterminating Angel”  the group consisted of Robin, Phil Kline, Barry Friar and a revolving lineup of artists which included Steven Brown and Peter Principle of Tuxedomoon, filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, Nina Canal of UT and David Rosenbloom. 
Exterminating Angel uses cyclical, machine-like keyboard riffs as the foundation for moody, Teutonic music. Dark Day take on the atonal, discordant and alienated performance art/new wave/punk of New York's late ‘70s no wave movement using drums, synthesizers, piano, bass and guitars. A synth is used to create the violin-sounding riffs that define the album’s sound. Crutchfield sings like a member of Kraftwerk with a dry detachment  creating a starker and chillier ground. Stuart Argabright of Ike Yard called this music "Post no wave / Proto electro … somewhat unclassified or not necessarily a part of any movement." Lyrics were derived from cut-up methods similar to those used by the surrealists, fluxus artists, and William Burroughs and Bryon Gysin and pit the subjected against their torments and tormentors.
"Exterminating Angel" uses less than desirable instruments in an attempt to overcome their shortcomings and mold them into something other than what they were. Dark Day continued to release albums throughout the 80s and eventually Robin started his solo career and continues to make music to this day. 
All songs on "Exterminating Angel" were originally recorded at Sorcerer Sound, NYC. 1979 and produced by Charles Ball. This re-issue has been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, CA. Each LP includes a two-sided fold out poster containing lyrics, photos and lyrical explanations by Robin Crutchfield. Dark Day continue to inspire the current wave of stark, eerie, processional synthesizer music more than 30 years later.

TOM And His Computer drops the 2nd release from his upcoming debut LP 'Future Ruins' which will be released on Trentemøller's label In My Room October 16th.

The pseudonym of Copenhagen hero Thomas Bertelsen, TOM And His Computer has already released a pair of very highly regarded EPs, pre- paring the ground for this full length adventure.

Teaming up with the legend that is Trentemøller as a co-producer, the album is preceded by this 2nd single Puzzle - a spikey, psych/indie/elec- tronic track with vocals from Roxy Jules. The production is clear and lively, allowing the song to shine through while imbuing the proceedings with an exciting, urgent shimmer.

Trentemøller’s remix takes things to another level - fat, chunky drums meet Vox organs, fuzz guitar and freestyling synths in a riot of colour and playfulness.
