Sonic scapes of sound and substance may rouse the keen ear into discovery. When one really listens, everything is music, and when one really experiences, one is everything. This is the theme of "I The Beholder", the absolute power one has on their perception and Aeonium's desire to use this for good, for the manifestation of beauty. 

Over 4 years in the making, I The Beholder incorporates absolutely everything the Dutch multi-instrumentalist has in his repertoire, from several instrumentations on piano, santur, handpan and many more, to tape, synthesizer and field recording, all fuzzed through the creative process of digital production. From oriental house to wicked shuffles, from dubby basslines to ambient textures, this album represents the variety of music and their possible fusions when the listener sets their mind to really listening and taking this process as an active endeavor. Greatly enhanced by the beautiful sounds of Nienke Deiter, Frodi Fransman and Namasterri.

This stunningly pristine 4-track journey is the collaborative effort of three talented producers from England who have their hands in multiple artistic ventures outside of Alterra Project: Dane Andruszko (Okari), Charlie Bartlett (False Identity, Xylem), and Rory Gordziejko (Kwah, Tea Tree). No strangers to the Mindspring imprint, the Exodus EP marks the third release from the trio, following 2017's Turing Test and their sophomore release Holomorphic in 2020. 

A unique and provocative journey, Exodus is an auditory portal into an inverted reality where nothing is quite what it seems, surprises abound, and anything but the expected is to be expected. The funky, squelchy basslines and groovy driving beats provide solid ground to stand on while you safely let your mind navigate the archive of complex and otherworldly soundscapes. As you settle in,  you will be rewarded with tantalizing melodies and mechanical rhythms and futuristic construction. Psychedelic ear candy for all of your imagination.

Ancient Knowledge is the debut album of Ecention. It is dedicated to our ancestors and cultures, whose wisdom and development we are only just beginning to understand. He builds worlds of organic instruments and textures combined with electronic sounds. His music is produced with intention. It tells stories.. even if no words are used. In the past years I have been hosted, facilitated and held countless Ecstatic Dance Journeys ....

I started my Ecstatic Dance Journey in 2008 at the very beginning of the now famous Yoga Barn in Bali, then in 2016 I gave birth to the Sunday Mornings Dances at Pyramid Yoga in Koh Phangan and the Evening Friday dances in Jaran's.
Consistently started to record my sets (or almost) only in 2017/18.

I will try now to upload one every Saturday starting from those days ...... raw as they are (as I do not even re listen to them before uploading them!!)

I finally post here a recording from the Ethereal Decibel Festival 2023! 
I may replace this audio with the 90min version when I get the chance.

This was a 5am set, so it was definitely out of my comfort zone to set up in the dark, after a sleepless night and carrying all my equipment around for the 12 hour trip (that damn guitar can be so heavy), so the result is not as clean as what I make in my cozy studio setup, but I will cut myself some slack. Regardless, it was a WONDERFUL experience and I thank the festival organizers and Arnaud who booked me. Also, what a beautiful stage the Nest is! 

I hope to be back soon with a deep slow techno act next time...! ∞
