This is my entry for edition 163 of the KVR One Synth Challenge. On this occasion, all of it was created inside once instance of the Cardinal modular synth plugin.

ARACHNIDS

My entry for KVR OSC #163

The fizz of the drink is so loud it makes Nesbit's teeth hurt. He takes another sip. It's delicious. The kefir is sour and delicious at the same time, like a cross between wine and yogurt. 
He tries to remember what it tastes like when he stops drinking it. Kefir tastes like kefir.
It is at this moment that he remembers.
He remembers everything.
He remembers that when he first arrived at the space port, he went to find a bar called the Happy Alien.
He remembers that the proprietor of the bar was a large creature that looked like a giant, orange caterpillar, and that the caterpillar had a human-shaped head.
He remembers that the caterpillar told him he would be happy here, and that his life would be good here, and that he should stay.
He remembers that the kefir tastes like wine and yogurt.
He remembers that the Happy Alien is a lie, and that the entire space port is a giant lie.
Everything he thinks he knows is wrong, and everything he thought he was doing in life was all wrong.
His eyes are blurry and his mouth is dry. He wonders if he should go to the washroom.

Played as a mono synth using LFOs for rhythm, sequencing and pitch mods. All mixing done by playing the four macros and modwheel, then editing the recorded automation on the timeline.
